An OC I've made for a hypothetical pirate based dnd game! Here's info on her:

Makena - Class: Rogue - Career: Pirate - Player: Greta
Age: 23
Height: 160 cm
Weight: 60 kg
Alignment: Chaotic Neutral
Quick Desc: Thick boned but rather thin, has a sturdy constitution. Her skin colour is dark and her eyes are green. She has puffy lips and very thick dark brown hair, kept behind her face with a red sash. Her skin is soft in more puffy places such as her lips and cheeks, but due to her past as a slave both her feet and hands have a very rough texture and build, and are bigger than the beauty standard. She has a resting bitchface. On her left shoulder she bears the iron mark her owner put on her when she turned old enough for heavy manual labor. It looks like a cursive - NU -, as she used to work at the Nuves' Estate. She has a past of illness due to being exposed to harships and bad weather and living conditions, but as she survived past them, she is now actually healthier and more resilient than average. Background: Urchin-like, although she grew up in an estate as a slave. Her parents died early as a result of heavy labour added to their workload because they procreated without their owner's permission. She started off in manual labour such as knitting and weaving dresses and carpets, serving in the markets when she was a teen ager and, at the age of 16, was occasionally used for heavy labour in the mansion as she had a strong build. As she was able to see part of the outside world though, her resentment of her owners soon grew to a burning desire of escape and revenge.

A few years later the estate was attacked by bandits (pirates maybe), who plundered all that was worth reselling, killed the governing family and many of the slaves living there before burning the place to the ground. Makena used the event as a way to escape together with other young slaves, although the group eventually split up as they searched for their own way now that they were free. For Makena, the way was trying to construct a better life for her and her class and making upper classes pay, and thus she started off as a street thief before joining a pirate crew.

Personality: Due to her life as a former slave, Makena received little to no education and is completely oblivious to the function and history of the multiverse and other disciplines such as science etc- This doesn't mean, however, that she's naive or a slow learner: she is «street wise» and better learns through experience, as that has always been how her life has worked, and she is better at practical labour than most. She has, however, an acute and perceptive personality and could be described as relatively cunning once she gets to know her surroundings. She tends to be quite the hoarder and carry around trinkets, odds and ends and the lot to sell along her way, although she is mostly set on jewellery as of late: she rather like lapis lazuli stones and sports two prominent earrings made of the gemstone. She is quite wary of others - especially if they are kin to the people who enslaved her. She will act warily around people, always suspecting kindness will come to backstab her later, and as such doesn't get too close to people, unless they share a similar past and experience to hers. She also acts very tough and has very bad manners. As stated, her aim is mostly revenge and trying to bring down those who dominated her first. She thinks the state of things in society is not worhty to stay as it is, and that the lowliers should be lifted and the rich should face a downfall. She has no regards for rich people's lives as they haven't valued hers for years, although she will reluctantly put up with them if it helps her. She is the kind of person to only help you if she gains something in return.

Her biggest flaw is perhaps her impulsive and erratic personality. Because of her horrid past experiences, she is not too stable mentally and will often act without thinking of consequences if provoked. She can be rather aggressive and down to earth when confronted, and may be just a little dead inside. She doesn't take orders easily, and will probably snarl at her superiors when ordered around unless they aren't a person she trusts. Overall she is dependable, but wouldn't risk her life for the sake of strangers.
