So, why excactly did he take the shortcut through the graveyard? Oh right, because he was a lazy ass and thought: "Why not walk through the old graveyard in the dark. It doesn't look so creepy from the distance."
Yes, great idea. He swallowed hard and looked around uneasily. He didn't have a good feeling about this but he was too far from the entrance to go back. He just had to go down the hill and he'd be out of that creepy area.
In the distance a branch cracked. Selvain froze instantly. He felt his heart thumping against his ribs while looking around nervously checking if there were some shadowy creatures hiding, waiting for him to tear him apart. The fire on his tail started flickering in his nervousness and he felt the tickling of more flames on his back coming up ready to defend him. The full moon shone cold over the hill which made the scenery look even creepier than it already was. Shaking in fear Selvain took another step, cowering to the ground, trying to get invisible which was a impossible attempt considering the blue flames on his tail and back that could be used as signal fires for a lot of miles. It didn't help that it slowly startded to get more and more foggy. Not even the weather seemed to like him today. In his nervousness he didn't even notice that the fog's color wasn't normal at all. It was violet. Also the black goo that slowly started to build a more lively form stayed away of his awareness. Selvain was too busy trying to convince his heart and flames to back down so they wouldn't reveal him to whatever was lying there in the dark, waiting for him. He didn't know that the danger was already close, staring down at him with red, hungry eyes and a big grin of sharp teeth.
When the gaze of his own blue eyes finally met the red, it was already too late.

Wow, I finally did it.
This is my entry for runandwine 's Halloween contest.
The task was to draw one of her characters with one of mine and wow, that was a hard choice xD
I don't know how long I stared at all those cool characters and finally decided to go with Wolf again because he just fits the Halloween topic so well and I already had an idea in mind.
And then, after lots of sketches that didn't work out, this was born. I've always liked how detailed Wolf is and love his three forms he can appear in, so I tried to put at least one of them in this picture (if you didn't notice yet, there is a goo-y part there, yes, search it!)
I chose my little Selvain because he needs more art and i wanted to have some blue fire for more atmosphere. Also tried to go with a bit of more cat-like anatomy for him. Full-Canine just doesn't fit him xD
but damn, cat anatomy is so difficult, I hope I managed it a bit, jsut like the shading, I still struggle a lot with it.
The background gave me a hard time, especially the trees, god I hate to paint trees xD
But I had a lot of fun once I figured stuff out and now here it is.
