A very thoughtful and helpful critique! I see your point about the grey mountain aaaand brown rocks, the difference is too big and a connection missing. Thanks!

Thanks a lot! I love rough brushes, too, and don't ever work with others because others wouldn't look realistic XD
Interesting! I didn't think about that. Sometimes you see your own work but only when another person looks at it, you see new things. It REALLY looks as it was a finger.
Uuuh, another great idea. The next picture in this style gets fog, that's sure!

Weird, I enabled the download but it didn't do it. Now it's working.

I was like "why does this remind me of Berk from HTTYD?" and then I saw the description.

This is a digital wonderwork, especially the rock formations on the island as well as the single islet. I really wonder if they would withstand nature as some of them look rather unstable and fragile. But that does not prevent them from be interesting. The little green grass spots and the fir trees spice it up a little. I love the towering mountain in the background of the main isle. It has some protecting aspect. Also I love the detail you have put into the four dragon creatures - they are miniature from a far distance, but so detailed drawn.
The shading and blending of the cloud colours are fabulous, but most impressive are the waves on the sea. The foaming spray makes them so realistic.
Fantastic drawing. Keep up that great work!

I am heavily sorry for the late reply, somehow your great comment sunk into the depth of my old commentsΒ -.- Goodness!
Thanks a lot!
I was inspired by the movie How to train your dragon, there are similar rocks which look quite unstable. You're right, if it was a realistic piece, I would have kept an eye on believable rock formations!
A very intersting thought that the mountain looks protecting, that's a great effect I achieved there.
Wow, thanks once again!

This is beautiful! Funny you should mention How to Train Your Dragon since it'll be ten years old in a few months.
