Happy new year!!
Inspired by the concept art of "How to train your dragon", I created my own island. I found a great new technique and 2020's going to be gorgeous!

This is quite a stunning piece. I love how perfectly everything is proportioned; not too much or too little sea, sky, mountain, etc. However, I do think think there needs to be a couple more dragons/wyverns. Perhaps some other creatures as well? Anyway, the dragons are very well-done, considering how small each one is. One more tiny issue that I see is that areas where the mountain and the grassy land connects seem very... abrupt. As if the two weren't meant to be attached. There needs to be a gradual transition from one to the other, if that makes any sense. I can tell that this was meant to be in the style of a painting, which makes it harder for some to pull that off without making seem like a smeared mess.

Lovely brush set! I like blurry brushes <3 They are so comfy and natural to work with, feels like real oils or something
Hah this rock on the left side is so dynamic, kinda reminds me hand with finger pointing to the rest of island X3 As for colors..hmm.. It look good and birght for a sketch, but if think about it as a "to be finished" piece, i think it should have more air perspective in it - it doesn't seem like warm place, so there is probably a lot of fog around island

Interesting! I didn't think about that. Sometimes you see your own work but only when another person looks at it, you see new things. It REALLY looks as it was a finger.

This is a digital wonderwork, especially the rock formations on the island as well as the single islet. I really wonder if they would withstand nature as some of them look rather unstable and fragile. But that does not prevent them from be interesting. The little green grass spots and the fir trees spice it up a little. I love the towering mountain in the background of the main isle. It has some protecting aspect. Also I love the detail you have put into the four dragon creatures - they are miniature from a far distance, but so detailed drawn.
The shading and blending of the cloud colours are fabulous, but most impressive are the waves on the sea. The foaming spray makes them so realistic.

I was inspired by the movie How to train your dragon, there are similar rocks which look quite unstable. You're right, if it was a realistic piece, I would have kept an eye on believable rock formations!
A very intersting thought that the mountain looks protecting, that's a great effect I achieved there.
