Description I created this while listening to ~anthem of our dying day~, but anyway, it seemed very special to me. This fractal reminds me of some art that I admired when I was very young, and because of that, I'm dedicating this piece to two of my grandparents, John and Karen Olson. I love them dearly and since they owned the piece of art, this fractal is as much theirs as it is mine.

I set out to make another glyph fractal, but this was the turn it took while I was experimenting. I think of it as a kind of abstract distortion of the moon.

I hope you like it. ^_^
The full 1600x1200 is available for download.

im very new to creating my own fractal art but pieces like this want me 2 experiment even more with it.
it has a very War of the Worlds feeling to it.
the vinal record version with all the synthesizers.

if you know of any good tutorials for Apophysis
on the different variation keys id love to see it cant seem 2 find any that outlines each one and what they do.

I have learned most of things I know about variations from personal experimentation, but there are a great host of tutorials available for using apophysis. The primary source for apophysis resources (tutorials included) on DA can be found at the club. Here is a [link] to a page with some tutorial links on it. I've read a few of them, and am planning on reading more, but most of the knowledge to be gained about apophysis needs to be through personal experience. Tutorials make a good starting point, and can help boost skills in particular areas, but there is nothing like just tinkering with the program to find out how it works.

I've been making fractals for a little less than a year, and I've learned so much in that time. If you want help, feel free to ask me anything. I always like to aid new fractal artists.

I'm glad you like this fractal. And I wish you luck in creating your own.

The inside of this looks semi-solid. Nice work.

I'm glad you like it. I consider it to be one of my more passive fractals, but it is one of my favorites.

it reminds me of the visuals used in the movie The Fountain...every artists should see that movie for the visuals alone...

Sorry it took me so long to respond, but thank you very much. I haven't seen The Fountain, but I'll make a point of looking into it. I'm glad you like the fractal.

Very pleasant to look at. The heart and the bubble.

Thank you, I've been told by others that there is a heart in this fractal, but.......IDK, I guess I just don't want to see it. I'm glad you like it.

Look at the white plunging marks in the centre. They are the top of the heart, which is darker than the rest. It reaches down to the lower rim of the bubble. There are others but they are twisted.
It's pretty.
