You're already that person, silly! You, of all people, should know that. You've been unsuccessfully trying to doze off for what has felt like ages, but you don't feel even the slightest bit tired, really. It's not the first time this feeling has happened to you, but you're usually able to override your excess energy with a bit of effort, but tonight seems to be an exception. It's almost as if you'd drank a lot of caffeine before heading up for the night - which you hadn't -, but the overly energetic feeling wouldn't leave you alone.

Letting out a sigh, you propped yourself up on one arm and glanced at your alarm clock, and the softly glowing blue-green face read 12:40 AM, the numbers seeming to mock your efforts. Well, if I can't fall asleep this way, I might as well find some way to occupy myself until sleep comes to me, or something, you thought to yourself as you slowly got up from your bed, stretching leisurely and grabbing a (f/c) colored fleece blanket from your bed as you moved to the other side of your room, pausing for a moment as you passed one of the windows in your room. Despite the darkness making it a bit hard to see the details of the scene outside, it was a gorgeous-looking late-autumn night nonetheless. Most of the leaves had already left the trees, and had created a colorful carpet over the now browning grass, and the skeletons of the trees cast strange, twisted shadows on the sidewalks in your neighborhood thanks to the soft glow of a couple of well-placed iron wrought street-lights. The sky was entirely cloudless, and the stars and a large half-moon greeted your sight, each one well defined and clear, making the scene quite nice to look at, if not slightly eerie. For a moment, you contemplated taking a walk, until you factored in the fact it was, for one, probably freezing outside in this hour of the morning, and, for another thing, it wasn't a very bright idea to just go walking about alone during the middle of the night.

You moved away from the window shortly after shooting down your idea, and then went over to your bookcase, deciding that perhaps rereading a favorite book of yours might help you unwind for a bit. After a few moments of consideration, you chose (f/b) and proceeded to sit down in your computer chair, leaning back slightly as you flipped to the first page, finally certain you'd found something to do.

However, you soon found you were having trouble concentrating on the words you were reading, and, after a few more minutes of attempting to focus, you put the novel aside, running a hand through your hair exasperatedly. What is with me today? You wondered irately, Or tonight, I guess. I hope this doesn't make a habit of itself...

You were nearly out of ideas for things to do at this point. You weren't about to go outside alone, you couldn't focus enough to read, and trying to sleep was practically out of the question for you right now. So then what?

That's when your eyes landed on your computer, and you got an idea. You knew that a particular friend of yours was very likely still awake at this time, and you'd just gotten a brilliant idea.

With that, you powered up your computer and logged into Pesterchum. And, just your luck, the person in question was indeed online. You couldn't help but grin at this; tonight was just about to get considerably more interesting - and hopefully, more fun.
