I'm almost certain that a year has passed, especially in the last episode when he says three months have passed. And they had an episode when it was winter and it snowed. 17 is the age of majority in some states. But we'll never know because the earth is so different. America only had 39 states!

How is it any worse/pedophilic than 22 year old Greg having a relationship with the 6,000+ years old Pink Diamond/Rose Quartz? That's only five years younger then when Greg met Rose!
I think the point of most of these 1000+ characters is meant to make them ageless.

Well gems don't physically age, so their maturity grows very slowly. You can see this happening with Amethyst during the GregRose flashback with her short hair. Gems don't work like humans do, they have no real age. They're projections of light with personality so it's hard to get a bead if that's immoral or not.
Calling it pedophilia just trivializes real CSA, imo. Especially when it's depicted as two adults. Amethyst is pretty much at the same maturity as Steven.
I'm not angry or anything. I just find it very hard to stick numbers on a character that can potentially live forever. That's just banishing that character to a life on loneliness. Just because one person is older than the other doesn't it make it more or less likely they will abuse their power.
