Description It's been TOO LONG since I did something sci-fi so here it is

The Syft,

Nano mechs are only 10ft tall on average and have no room for a pilot instead its controlled remotely from a Sphere(exactly what it sounds like a big round room,) linking the pilots brain to the mechs Slate (or brain) taking control of its functions and senses (but the human body will move and react as they control the mech, the down side is the damage taken from the machine is felt by the pilots mind so it can be fatal)

A Nano mech is highly mobile durable and self repairing, and the pilot can speak through the mech aswell.

Syft is a close combat unit designed for extreme mobility in any terrain.

Ooh, now this one I like. Missed it on my initial run through of your gallery, I'd seen the others but didn't comment. The way you describe the workings of it are pretty neat too. The angle of the feet seem weird to me though... *ponders* It's as if they are broken or stuck forward while the rest of him is 3/4. It's a little awkward. Otherwise, he's a pretty nifty mecha~! Love the neon green accents.

Actually to move quickly those legs become reverse jointed the shield slides up the forearmit runs on all fours and the neck is structured like an owls a much greater range technically if it bent its head back far.

Ah, okay, that makes sense. Neat!

Somewhere in my gallery I have a creature whose feet can do that...and she's not a mecha. Heh.

Saw that read it, being PERFECTLY honest I feel a little jilted, but no big deal at least I tried. back in the day I would've taken that personally, but I know my flaws.

drop me a line when you figure out the site, I'll take a look.
Have a good one by the way.

SilverSugar In reply to Unseen-smiley [2011-05-04 00:27:00 +0000 UTC]

Don't feel jilted. It isn't all about flaws and is certainly not personal, you aren't the only talent I have turned away. I have a very specific type of person that I am trying to find. I just don't think you're the right fit for my main project--that said there is a lot you are very good at and so I thought of something that should work out, since I like you. I want you as part of the team~!

No worries I'm just hard on myself about stuff, not too mention been a shitty day and I went and overreacted it happens took a nap all better now
What type of person you hunting down? (if I see somebody I'll aim them your way)

and like I said feel free to drop me a line when that spot 'thing' dealy-majig that you wanted me for shows up

I'n the mean time I must prepare for the closing of a short story contest

Yay~! *huggles* I was so worried you hated me.

I'm jealous you got to take a nap...I'm so exhausted. Hm...I'll have to go to bed early tonight.

I'm looking for someone that I can really partner with, and I am thinking seriously long term. Someone who can motivate and inspire me... *thinks* Someone that really gets me and my style but can also bring the things that I am lacking. Kinda' like how `budgie , `lone-momo , and `chutkat work together. (They are such a huge inspiration to me. *has fangirl moment*)

I want pure writing harmony~! Hehehe.

At any rate... You're more than welcome to browse my forum , get a feel for how it is now while I prep it for upgrades and such. That way if you see something else you'd be interested in working on you can let me know. Heh.

Ooh, what's the contest? Is it something I'd be able to vote for you on or is it panel judged or something? Either way, best of luck!

No don't hate ya, just misplaced venting(long story)
You be a cool customer so far
Yeah naps are a good way to clear your head.

In my experience IT's VERY difficult to know if you can work with someone in such away without actually working together for an extended period of time, forgive me for saying it but a questionair like that will have the same effectiveness as those dating quizzes.
Sure there has to be common interests between any two creative minds, but believe me sometimes being on the same page completely can kill ideas, but people are complicated some respond to be challenged other encouraged, or simple discussions. (sorry forgive the lecture... I find these kinds of discussions EXTREMELY interesting)

Long story short you have to work with someone before you know you can work WELL with them, I've done alot of co-op stories people I've thought i'd work well with failed catastrophically, I found out I work best with someone that challenges my ideas, that argues with me. BUT you are not me, so I could be completely and TOTALLY WRONG
either way a good way to actually find someone to work with isn't so much an application more like audition brainstorm something with them and see how far it goes but the application IS good for predicting habits if they give an honest answer.

(Warning this may be a subconscious attempt to weasle around your requirements...Not even I know me)

AS per the contest I'm in charge of it
>>>>>>> [link] <<<<<

On a side note the small part you have at the bottom of the application has some word use that doesn't really flow kinda breaks up the moment.

PS:What am I looking for to work on? lol(I miss obvious stuff sometimes)

Oh yeah, I completely get that. The whole thing is really a starting point. (Or wishful thinking? I have no idea. *laughter* I'm rather optimistic though~!) I want to even see if anyone would be interested in my project; see if I could find neat people for my forum. I've had a few applicants already that seemed shiny but based on a few things I found I realized I want nothing to do with them. In a working capacity at least. Then I've found ones that aren't quite right, but are awesome for other areas. Much happy. So the application seems to be helpful in that regard. We are all different and I like hearing from others. I'm already learning a lot. I just hope I can find someone searching for something similar. I figure it doesn't hurt to try, right?

Neat contest idea. I don't actually follow any writers on dA so I never gave writing contests a thought really. It's funny, I love writing and reading but I don't really do it online unless it is an author or someone that I already follow otherwise.

Oh, you don't need to actively work on my forum yet...but I would like to hear your opinions on it. I need to figure out what would be good to improve or scrap and stuff. I have a lot of ideas and need to know what works. I also have my main project, but that is under wraps until I find someone I really click with to help. If that makes sense.

Hey if you cant find some one that perfectly fits you know where to find me, I like working on everything and anything creative in nature just don't ask me to sing or dance.
And it NEVER hurts to try, why do you think I'm such a people person you never learn anything if you don't try.

There ARE 'some' good writers on DA (I'd like to count myself among them but I've got to be more patient I write things quickly and post them without going through them for mistakes...oops) you should post something online I'd love to read it(I'm brutally honest to be warned)
My contest is testing the writing of others and putting my drawing to the test otherwise I'll be stuck at the same level(can't afford schooling for it)

As per the site I'll take a look around tonight

SilverSugar In reply to Unseen-smiley [2011-05-04 20:25:04 +0000 UTC]

Why are you tone-deaf with two left feet?

A lot of good artists are "self-taught". I think it's always good to test yourself with challenges and the like. You might also get a kick out of . Which reminds me, I gotta' get my butt working on this round. *laughter*

Also, even if you can't afford schooling--you can always use resources like tutorials and stock references to help you learn. It's one of the reasons I like dA so much, we have a lot of really talented people here that are willing to share their tips and tricks openly with others. Pretty neat, I'd say.

Thanks again, I look forward to hearing what you think. (I know it's a real mess right now though, be warned.)

No, I just get carried away with singing, and I dance too well, makes folks ask questions.

Cool group there I'll have to study it a touch closer though.

How do you think I got to this level This site is an AMAZING resource you just need to find the right sources

as per the site I'm thinking some of the RP forums are a touch too narrow in direction BUT this makes them easier to control and maintain I'm guessing. I on the other hand like building stories out of scratch rather than following a preset pattern. Beyond that you may want to include a Relay writing section(my favourite type of writing) a good creativity excercise you may want to try yourself, though its kinda long hand compared to the average RP.

anyway thats all for now

Ha ha ha, not what I was expecting. Really, Maybe you should take up a career on stage or something? That would be neat~!

Hm...relay writing? Could you expand upon that please? I'm not sure I understand exactly what it is.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Unseen-smiley In reply to SilverSugar [2011-05-04 21:17:31 +0000 UTC]

Oh few people do expect that, there are alot of things people don't expect from looking at me
I would actually love to act or voice act to be perfectly honest

Relay writing
One person starts the story gives a basic setting and character ect... I page or two of writing basically, than another writer continues the story adding their own flavour. The difference compared to RP's is ALL writers can use the entire world and all the characters within to continue the story as long as they stick to a few rules I only remember the important ones
Stay within the bounds already created in the story, as in if its not supposed to exist in that world don't add it because it would be 'fun'
And DO NOT force anyone else's character, to act Out-of-character aka don't have a heartless killer start acting all father figure, unless you've got a DAMN good explanation.
Finally if you're unsure about something ask your fellow writers
These stories can be written by any number of people but the magic number is three in my experience
