Chris much like his sister, was born to a K-9 family, he and Claire grew to be the next generation units. He evolved to a Midday while his sister evolved to a dusk, much to everyone's shock and surprise. He and Claire got separated into different partners. Each got different routes to take so they rarely saw each other much to their dismay, but they kept up with their job as K-9 units.

Chris was put on a special task force that dealt with shadow issues, he knew the danger but took it with pride. He always got lucky with not getting infected and his streak of dodging the virus ended. The rise of the vaccine came and he was one of the many K-9 units to get it due to them dealing with the jobs that dealt with it. Only the vaccine did the opposite effect, it effects him and he went out of control. Biting his handlers and putting him on a forced retirement like his sister some years ago. Fate had some plans for him as he soon got picked up by someone who could handle shadow pokemon.

Ember adopted him and worked with him to try and cure him, that was when Chris learned that his sister too was adopted by the same lady. Though still blinded by the virus he sees her very little, under supervised watches but deep down he is thrilled to see her again...
