Those can be, yes. At least you can 'cheat' a bit and draw the bg seperate and merge the background and the rest of the picture.

Meh I wouldn't want to do that. When I do do a background I usually get into doing it and enjoy having the picture together. Course, Seldom I do them but still, but they can be, merging is to much of a hassle at that >>.
