Description
The Animist: Diana Jaramillo began her crusade as a local protector after leaders in her community were killed in violent conflicts with corporate forces. She invoked ancient magic, giving her the ability to communicate with and mystically mimic the abilities of any animal, and fought back. As a civilian, Jaramillo took her fight national, then international, becoming a notable climate activist. As the Animist, she realized she needed help on the superheroics end and recruited the group. When words and activism fail, she leads the group into action. She is swift and decisive and a charismatic, motivating speaker... but she's continually unsure if superhero combat was really the best choice.
