Description This is the next piece of fan art for Epic Mickey. It's also the last of the Thunder Mesa art for a while.

After you travel down the mine shaft from the Gold Mine, you enter a large, barren arena. Sand covers the ground, and rock walls completely encase the arena. Pete emerges from the sand riding a drilling machine and stops to insult Mickey. He then starts his drilling machine up, and chases after you inside. If you get hit by the drill, you loss life, and because it's constantly moving in your direction, you have to run circles around it non-stop. After a few moment, the drill with sink into the ground and will then shoot up from the sand beneath you. You have to move out of the way, as it comes up, or you instantly die. After the drill reemerges from the sand, it stalls for a moment, with a panel on the backside opened up. Here, you have 2 options. You can either thin the drill out, damaging it. The other option is painting the panel on the back of the machine, and the machine will shut down. Either way, the machine will force Prospector Pete out. But if you don't do either one, the drilling machine will repeat the process until you do something. After Pete leaves his vehicle, he begins to shoot thinner at you with his pistols. Dodging the thinner blasts, you need to make your way to four areas against the wall and fill a pump in with either paint or thinner. If you fill it with paint, a cage will fall from the sky, and capture Prospector Pete. Pecos Bill will arrive, and take Pete to the Dry Gulch Jail. If you fill the pump with thinner, the sand surrounding Prospector Pete will cave in, sending Pete plummeting through a bottomless pit. Either way, gold will stop being transported to Lonesome Manor, and production of Beetleworx will stop.

I like how Pete came out, but I drew him a little too big for the page. I've never been great at drawing tiny objects. Just something I need to get better at. Encase you didn't realize it, I dressed Pete up similar to Stinky Pete from Toy Story 2. That's where I got my inspiration from for this Pete.

I'll be drawing 2 more pictures of Thunder Mesa: Big Thunder Ranch, and Dry Gulch. The problem is, I'm working on other things at the moment. So I'll probably not get a chance to work on Thunder Mesa for a while.
