This Makes me wonder... Ganon was in his first life the King of All Demons, Zelda in her first life was a Goddess, following that line of thought could one conclude that before Link 0 ( Hylia's Chosen Hero in the Skyward Sword Manga) Link himself was a God? Or perhaps even better and more fitting to the Majora's Mask mythos a mix or in between state between Demise and Hylia a Demon God or Oni-Kishin perhaps? Thus continuing onward the Mask simply returns Link to his original form, his pristine state? - Quid Et Demonstratum

Thought: As the Golden Goddess created Hylia to govern Hyrule. Demise created Omi: the Fierce Deity by the hearts of seven wise, proud, and powerful warriors to become his General blessing him with youth, intelligent, fearlessness, and all the strength and kill of seven warriors. His mission was to kill or catcher Hylia. But Hylia found a sense of honor, righteousness, and curiosity in Omi, and used her cunning to show him how power can be use for good and harmony, and develop doubt in his service to his master.
Omi rebelled against his maker at the cost his voice. Hylia saved him and Omi became Hylia bodyguard.
They worked together against Demise, and secretly develop strong feelings. But in the last battle with Demise catcher, Omi and Hylia were dying, but the Golden Goddess grant them reincarnation. ...So with there final moments they embrace one another.

The name of the character is actually a reference to a type of character found in a certain type of Buddhism. Basically, the Fierce Deity is a force of good through and through.

I am aware of that, but the game claim the Fierce Deity to be some kind of dark and powerful god. So I just go with making something up with that.
