Update 2: FINISHED!!

Ana flees from her pursuers. The forest slows her down, branches pulling on her tunic and cloak. She doesn't know what direction she is going. Her heart is wound tightly in a knot in her chest as her last moment with Luridi resurfaces. Ana stops and leans against a tree trunk, her chest heaving. She coughs and chokes on a sob. Someone's voice sounds only a few paces behind her. Ana pushes the bloody memory away and focuses on survival. She sniffs and trudges on, picking up her pace. They wouldn't get her. Ana begins to notice the sounds behind her are being drowned out by rumble ahead. As she draws closer, she realizes it is the sound of waves crashing against a cliff. She stumbles out of the forest and into a rocky cliff. She steps carefully towards the edge, but it is still too dark for her to gauge the drop. She considers her options to run along the cliff, trying to avoid her hunters. A swell thunders below her. She doesn't want to be thrown against the rocks below, but it would cut them off. She could swim to shore and return to the castle.

"This way!" Some one yells.

She gasps and turns towards the forest, seeing fires moving between the trees.

She makes a silent prayer to God and to her mother before taking a running sprint towards the cliff. The growl of the wave below her drowns out the words behind her as several figures emerge from the forest. And suddenly she is out of earth beneath her, and she spreads her arms out as if flying. The water below is full of uncertainty, and Ana begins to regret this decision.

Update:
I finished shading most of her clothes and started her hair....oh, I have been cursing that beautiful hair....so much shading and highlighting! T_T Well, I started it. I hope I can finish tomorrow.

I had been wanting to draw more art of Ana and this scene in particular is very powerful....but no spoilers just yet!
I worked on more of the background first, even though you can't see it.
Once I got the flat colors down for her hair and clothes it was after 5AM...so the rest will have to wait, but I am excited!
