Description 8"X10" pencil, ink, copic marker and watercolor.

Where would the men of Mad Men be without Peggy and Joan?

Probably three sheets to the wind downing Old Fashions at some cocktail bar. Which is a wonderful place to be. But their businesses would have probably fallen apart. These women are anchors that no sailor would cast into the sea. Well, maybe a few might. But I'm losing focus here. Sorry.

How not to lose focus with those two ladies ? This a really beautiful , the mariage between your style and the characters made a perfectly good 60's illustration

This is just astonishingly good! The art style you did reminds me of 1950's and 60's magazine illustrations, girl scout manuals and, of course print advertising! You've captured Peggy and Joan so well-- and the guys in back (I'm guessing Harry, Don, and Roger) would definitely be lost without them! Straight into my favorites! And I can't wait to see what Peggy and Joan will be up to in Season 6! (starts April 7th)

These are actually my favorite characters in the series, particularly Peggy. Two very different ladies with similar ambitions confronting an incredibly oppressive era to achieve their ambitious goals. I look at them as somewhat like the birth of the modern woman.

That's the thing about Peggy and Joan - they're NOT what you think they are. Actually, I could say the same for all the Mad Men series and the 60s itself, which is why the whole thing is so fascinating!
