Translation: Cute Female Student, Dangerous huh?Guess her mother never told her not to run with sharp objects! LOL! Not really sure what the context of the image is... is she running away? Or running into combat? Either way, I can safely assure you it is her enemies who are gonna get hurt!
I am pretty happy with the figure. I like the folds in her clothes a lot. The BG, while I like the concepts, and some parts... is still a bit weak IMO. I did it kinda fast and it shows... oh well, the focus is the figure, so the BG isn't all that important anyway...
Hope y'all dig it... comments always appreciated, positive or negative.
Done in Photoshop CS on a WACOM 12x12 tablet several hours over three days.

Good job! I think the background works quite well actually, it adds setting, but doesn't take away from the focal point. Also I think she is probably running to get into battle and just happened to glance into the camera as she was running by....hehe

good stuff. i like the choice of colors, how nothing is flat black. as with always, great shading, using it to really feel the form and fluidity of the clothes. fuckin nice wood panels - i like how they reflect a little bit and you can see the door frame in them.

Oh, I know some Japanese... I have been studying it for about 5 years... and I am still so very far from fluent! I also am really bad at Kanji... I was only able to use so many kanji in this image with the help of a dictionary. Oh well... if I get the chance to spend a year in Japan, I'm sure I'll improve then!

Yep. I just saw Kill Bill: Volume 2 a couple days ago, and I liked how it brought the story together. Pai Mei was just too awesome for words...

Very nice! Yes the folds are awesomely done, so detailed! The only things I see are her eyes are a bit far apart and her hand doesn't seem to be gripping the star too well.

Looks good to me. I don't think the background is weak, I'm not sure if it would have worked with more stuff in the background... I think it might have been distracting. I like the Japanese text a lot!
