Yeah.. bad composition, ugly lighting, blah, blah, blah.This is up here for sentemental reasons.
This is a tower I made when I think I was 8 maybe...
Point it's up here...
My dad brought this from the ruins of my house today. My childhood home burned to ash in the Black Forest Fire.
This survived.... I can't explain how happy it makes me right now.
So I'm putting it here.

Yeah.
Course... a kiln burns at 1800-2400 degrees F, so there's a good chance loads of stuff like this survived.

Some things won't burn dear! And that's great! There's also the possibility that things were protected I'd think. Fire, though destructive, does act unpredictably...

Yeah..... They're going to start sifting and cleaning soon, so I hope more stuff is found...

Nope. We were already halfway gone. We were only allowed in the other day and found that and a few other things.
And by "we" I mean... my dad.

And have you seen any aid rushing in yet? With all the hubbub over the Oklahoma Tornadoes, I'd think people would set something up for these Colorado Wild Fires!

Yeah... I've seen a bit.
Course, I'm out of the areas where the fires are.
But we do have the Southern Baptist Disaster Relief group here.
Second largest group in the world after the Red Cross.
