I binged this comic and am hooked, also really surprised this doesn't get more comments. You deserve quite a bit more attention for this! 
By the way, may I make a suggestion of maybe light outlines within/around the characters in certain areas? I believe this may help the characters stand out from the background and each other maybes, especially with dark-colored feathers!
I tend to not be very good at explaining so I thought this could explain what I mean better?
