i told you how much i liked this when you first showed it to me. i still do...
funny thing, i read the title before, but didn't make the connection to a song i have here that i was listening to this morning... nina simone's "love me or leave me". have you heard it? i may have to send you a copy, if not. good stuff.
or did i already talk to you about this...?
Love Me or Leave Me
Say, love me or leave me, let me be lonely,
You won't believe me, but I love you only
I'd rather be lonely than happy with somebody else
You might find the night time the right time for kissin'
Night time is my time for just reminiscin'
Regretting instead of forgetting with somebody else
There'll be no one unless that someone is you
I intend to be independently blue
Say, I want your love, don't want to borrow
Have it today to give back tomorrow
Your love is my love, there's no love for nobody else
(extended piano & percussion duet)
Say, love me or leave me, let me be lonely,
You won't believe me, but I love you only
I'd rather be lonely than happy with somebody else
You might find the night time the right time for kissin'
Night time is my time for just reminiscin'
Regretting instead of forgetting with somebody else
There'll be no one unless that someone is you
I intend to be independently blue
Your love is my love
My love is your love
There's no love for nobody else
- Nina Simone

like the dress. i like the style of the boots, since it clashes with the dress, but not the leopard print. black would have been better.
the model has a sexy bottom.
the floor is really shiny.
nice work. 'peaked' my interest. sexy as always.

Um. Wow. For once in my life I'm practically speachless. I'll try to shake that off and say something semi-worthwhile. I love the warm tone of the photo. To me, it looks like you just kicked the "viewer's" ass and, as he is slumped on the floor watching you go, he still is amazed by the beauty.
The textures and patterns are really nice too. The leopard print, the wall, the floor, the skin, the dress - all seem to be in harmony.
I love the lines of the wall and the door, too.

This is definitely my favorite photo of yours, it immediately struck me even before I read the title, which is great in my opinion. I see a lot of criticism above that I can't really agree with, I like everything about the pic. I got a different meaning from it altogether, more of a sad/resigned type of feel but one that the subject is used to from constant exposure from, so it's not the "end all be all" of sadness, more of a "Yep, it happened again" type of resignation. I dunno, hard to explain mabye. Excellent job on this, good luck in the competition.

Oh...and as for technical aspect...
While I don't like the print on the boots...I do like the reflection off the floor, the color of the walls and door compared to the dress you are wearing, and the post. Although, I do think that James has it right. You may wanna try and put your body in the same angle as the corner is.
But i'm not photgrapher, so who am I to critique.
But this is a very good photo. Who takes these for you? Or do you set it on a timer?

Going off of what Matt said...
This doesn't feel dominating to me. If anything, it feels...abused.
I always find, and don't take this the wrong way, that the most beautiful women are also the ones that have been damaged farther then what anyone should have to go through.
While i'm not saying this directed at you, Alison, that's just what this shot says to me when I see it. Beautiful legs, and yes...a very nice arse...but they are faced to the corner, leaving the back exposed for the attack from someone that would be trusted to be behind her.
Perhaps, by seeing that in this photo, i'm more damaged then I thought. But still..that's what I see in this photo.

There's something about the positioning of the piece, in the corner there that gives off a slightly uncomfortable feeling. You have this girl trapped in the corner and she is turned away from the viewer, the voyeur, and we are left with a scene seeped with cheap guilt. It could be the boots. Great colouring, very motel flicker.

I forgot what I was going to say about this, seems familar, im not that good with photography but i love 'floor' shots, so much emotion is involved in it. i think everyone can 'relate' to this.. so many people have walked out on other people.. so many times before. its only human nature to walk out on the ones you love. god agrees.. right god?
*waits for the answer..*

I love this piece, and I love its provocation. There is always an intensely disturbing element attached to the erotic content of an "up the skirt" gaze, because it's voyeuristic intent is a non-consensual one, normatively. In conjunction with your titling however, there's an interesting problematic inserted into this piece, as dspayre suggests, a power and an agency given over to the female body -- it is she that is doing the leaving -- but this control, essentially, however, is usurped by the abandoned lover's control of the scopic field -- he/she makes the exposure, makes the "leaving" sexualized by the line of their "look".
Wonderfully complex piece, and, I think beautifully shot -- I love the warm amber toning, really constructs, well, the scene of the fantasy.

yes, full nudity isn't needed for erotism (i even think it's the contrary)
yes, the light and colors are warm, soft, sensual...
yes, this dress is perfect here, i feel some thin and soft clothe that delicately cover the skin but doesn't shut it in...
no, i'm not sure about the boots... as single elements, they are great, but maybe they're too... glitering, blazing (i guess you know what i mean) for the softness and the simplicity of the shot...
but no, red boots won't be better...
the pose seems ok... yes it doesn't look natural, you're like leaned on the door, arms up, but it's working, i think
yes, the angle is a bit crooked... it can be better, but i can't imagine who hard it is when you're booth the model and the photograph
so this is a great piece, but i'm sure more can be done
(have you tried to work with the reflection of the ground ?)

i like the boots.. not in this shot though.
i think a more subtle color of panties,
a color that matches the mood of the picture
as is it seems planned. i guess thats the best way to put it.
add in a more extreme angle so that there is
a visible curve of the neck..
as is, it could be a well shaped guy for all we know.

The boots...i'm not sure...but I guess it makes it seem more innocent.
