This is a very beautiful, but at the same time it feels like a very sad painting. The young girl appears to be an ice-skater and by the looks of things she appears to be in the wash-rooms of the ice rink. she looks like sh'es afraid to perform or perhaps she's sad becuase someone important to her could not make it to the show. it's such a sweet and heartbreaking image i am just in complete awe of it.

I gather from the red blob thing that she may be having doubts from pains in her legs about skating. It almost looks like a blood clot.

The skate is symbolic of her ability to find lethality in otherwise unharmful objects. A skill a woman gains then loses once a month.

(i really like what Runnunrun had to say about this piece.) Congratulations on the DD! It's a really well done piece and I spent a good few minutes staring at it. Like most of the people here, the first thing I thought of was "that" time of month. Probably because of the toilet, "pain" title, and floating red blob. I can sympathize with her since I'm a girl myself. (and did anyone else notice that there seems to be a small, blue object coming out from her lips? looks almost like a toothpick... huh.)

The very first idea that came to mind after looking over this was that she was on her period....can definitely empathize with her, at such a young age.

On another note, maybe it means she's losing another part of her innocence? Ice skates can be associated with snow which can mean purity I believe but it's a bit of a long shot. And then the huge red blot... I guess no one will know for sure except for the artist :S
