Chiyu was summoned by a Yakuza boss, Urushido Ryuichi, who was in the brink of war with rival gangs. Chiyu became something of attack dog for his gang. Their relationship was much like a master to slave, Chiyu did whatever he was told to do or suffer punishment. Chiyu was quite adaptable, given his personality. He didn't truly seem to care about what was going on and just did as he was told. Many of the group was a bit disturbed by his rather detached personality to his kills. However he got the job done and soon Ryuichi's gang was number 1. So he allowed Chiyu to do whatever he wanted mostly, he just would order him to returned when he was called. It was actually after the first night of being released that he discovered street racing. It was interesting and different from being stuck in a cage most of his time. Ryuichi bought his bike and helmet to just get him to stop whining.
