Seeing @redlhzz images always fills me with determination!
And the realization that I have much more to learn =^= …..
His images are so freaking detailed and dynamic, and I also love how it’s mostly simple coloring with strong black ink and a slight gradiant or light shading and gah I adore his images so much aaaah

I like Sans as a character, fun personality, loves his brother but also torments him at the same time, loves telling jokes, shares the same idea of fashion. He even has a cool arc where this once lazy character losing everything he's hold dear and uses his smarts to try and avenge those he loves.
Though I feel people hype him up a bit too much. He only dodges because the human only attacks once per turn, and even then because he's lazy he only can dodge ten times before falling asleep. If he was in a fight against an opponent who can attack more then once per turn he wouldn't last too long. I mean he dies because the human attacked twice in one turn.
I'm not against the freedom of AU's, but even the ones that claim to be just like the original have Sans doing things like Teleporting, back flips, ect. Sans is lazy, and even in a fight for his life he doesn't do any fancy move, just moves to the side. As for teleporting, he doesn't take any "Shortcuts" While in battle, and from my perspective at least Sans's shortcuts seem to be him using his knowledge of the game to go from one room to another through code.
I guess I felt the need to vent how unrealistic most of the AU's are toward Sans, But I still love this character. But in the end I'm more of a Papyrus then a Sans, I love my siblings, I am a terrible cook, and I wouldn't ever think of hurting someone. Papyrus took the words out of my mouth when he said that he believed that the player could be a better person if they tried. Also Papyrus is smarter then he looks, but I won't get into that on this post.
TLRD: Sans is an awesome badass, but is currently overrated. He's not a teleporting, backflipping ninja, he's a smart, lazy dude who loves his brother.

I see where you come from - there's so much Sans in the fandom, and one can get a little overwhelmed. I'm weak for Papyrus too, and I don't like how people usually treat him as a naive idiot (while he's not, he's actually smart just not in a "conventional" way, like how he tells you that he's being forced by Flowey to make that call in a True Pacifist route, by greeting you with "Howdy!").
Sans isn't a backflipping ninja, and that's true. Sans has 1 ATK, 1 DFS and 1 HP. He can't dodge like a Tekken character.
But people have imagination and creativity, and they gave form to the most epic battle in Undertale with what they had: making Sans doing cool moves. Moreover, Sans does teleport during the fight; you're free to have your own headcanon (about the codes being used as shortcuts), but we actually see Sans appearing from a side to another of the screen and cutting his attacks in the middle, making the player hella confused on how to dodge, how much pressure to apply to jump, and a general sense of "WTF is happening". As for this "he doesn't do any fancy move, just moves to the side", one could argue that basically every UT character stays still and stiffly throws things at you. It's the graphics, they allow the characters that much movement and animations. Sans' dodge technique can be interpreted since we need to interpret basically everything when it comes to that kind of graphics. Following your reasoning, all the characters should be supposed to stay still as dummies and not even moving an inch when they attack.
More importantly, to brush off Sans as simply "lazy" is misunderstanding the character. Again you're free to have your own HCs about him, but Sans' point is that he lost hope. He knows about RESETS (we can argue about /how much/ he remembers about the RESETS, but he does knows about them). He blatantly says: "Getting to the surface doesn't appeal anymore, either... because we'll all end up right back Underground, without any memory of it". Or simply how he speaks of "timelines stopping and starting, massive anomalies in the timespace continuum(...)".
Sans is plagued by nihilism because he knows they're all doomed to "play" the same "game" over and over again, that everyone can die on a whim of the player, that he can do basically nothing to stop us because if he kills us, we come back through Determination. He pleads the player to RESET while on a Genocide run, cheats during the fight, lies about Sparing, all to break the player's will and make us QUIT, putting up a fight we cannot win (or at least, he hopes we cannot win it).
He's not just a lazy person which decides to go into action after his brother dies. If it was only that, he would've stepped in sooner in the route, and he would've done it in any route where the player kills Papyrus. Sans steps in because he knows the world "ends" if we complete a Genocide run (quote: "and after seeing what happens next... I cannot afford not to care anymore", "there's nothing for you ahead of this room", and after we manage to hit him "Welp... I guess that's it. Don't say I didn't warn you."). He tries to stop us from destroying the game. He's so fascinating because while Genocide!Undyne is the hero fighting against the villain, Sans is fighting, for lack of a better term, against a god. Meaning us, with the Ultimate Cheating Power, that of going back in time and trying over and over and over until we memorize his attacks and manage to land that single hit. And he's perfectly aware of that.
Ultimately, Sans manages to last for only ten attacks because he gives everything he has. He begins with his stronger attack or almost. He depletes his magic throughout the fight, trying to make the patterns as impossible as he can get them. He teleports around, he uses Blue Magic to slam the SOUL against walls and bone traps - he does something no monster ever did in terms of difficulty, magic display and complexity of patterns. If you go past the "simple" show off of power, you can see that he's fighting almost desperately.
So that's part of the reason why people love him, and want to pay him homage in the "easiest way possible", giving him cool backflips and ninja moves. Also, he's actually the one and only monster which manages to dodge, so it doesn't surprise me that people headcanon him as very slippery and agile since you can't miss on any monster except him.
TLDR; Sans does teleport, and people have a huge reason to love him to bits. He might come off as lazy and uninterested to basically everyone, but he's actually an OP character very well done which deserves praise and tribute. Though I understand that there's too much Sans in the fandom, and sometimes one needs a break from him.

...I've always liked the idea of an agile Sans. I mean, he's already badass when he's doing the absolute most minimum required in a fight. Always wanted to draw him in an action pose like this myself, but that little pro-cannon voice in the back of my head keeps on like "No, no, that's not our lazybones Sans!"
Regardless, this is a really cool picture and I like it. Really like the motion blur on the bones -- precisely the kind of thing I can never get working right in my pictures.

This is just wonderful. I love the amount of motion your work captures. There's so much in this pose and angle that my brain is trying to tell me it's animated. I'm also a big fan of how you combine realistic bone features with San's cartoony design; I think you've struck a really good balance.
