Description
V8 was a regular joe. Well, except for the fact he was interested in supernatural phenomenon. After spending one halloween with his friends at a party, his buddies challenged him to do something related to the holiday: see if it was possible to become a monster. Seeing as they were all drunk, it obviously went downhill from there.

Most of the people whom lived in V8's hometown, somewhere in the forests of Oregon, there had been a legend of a man whom drunk from a peculiar pond supposedly made from mischevious "faeries". It was said these "faeries" told him he would recieve immense power from this fountain at midnight, which was situated between a stump cut in twain and a rock shaped like a small cannonball. The man found it, and interested in this so-called "immense power", he took a sip from the pond, fell on all fours, and almost insantaneously transformed into a giant, bipedial beast. However, despite the horrific transformation, he somehow kept his mind, and decided to walk back to his village, only to get chased away by his own friends. Greatly saddened, the wolf-man ran into the wilderness, never to be seen again...

V8 and his friends, in their drunken stupor, scoffed at the so-called "legend" and put it off as a product of some drunk huntsman two-hundred years ago who made sure no idiot would drink from random puddles. So, they wandered into the thick Northwestern forests, and using landmarks from the legend, to their surprise, they found an oddly-shaped pond, situated between the ancient remains of a stump split down the middle and a small, heavy boulder, as the legend described. V8 was skeptical about drinking the muddy-looking water, but then one of his friends hallenged him to drink it for a hundred bucks. So, V8 got on his knees, lowered his head, cupped his hands, collected some of the brackish, murky water, and downed it. Suddenly, his stomach started churning, and he groaned as his body felt like it was set ablaze. Frightened, his friends run off, leaving V8 alone. He was on the verge of passing out, and looked at his hand and arm. It seemed to be growing thick hair! "Whats...happening...?" V8 thought as his mind became hazy. Then, everything went black.

It was the next morning. V8 awoke, but had his eyes closed. "Man, what the hell was I thinking?" V8 thought. He wanted to get up, but the warm covers kept him in bed... Then V8 noticed something; the bed was hard, and the air was too cold for it to be inside his house! He again tried getting up, but noticed what he though was his bedsheets stuck to him like glue. Then, he tried ripping it off, but instead felt pain, and pulled off what felt like... coarse hair?! He jumped up, but quickly fell on his face, which felt like it was sicking out! He looked at hia feet, and to his shock, noticed they were not his anymore, but those of a wolf! He leaned against a tree, adjusting his new feet so he could stand, and while getting back up he noticed his hands had changed as well; the entire hand was covered in shaggy brown hair or fur, the fingers were bulbous in the middle and tips and had sharp, black claws where his fingernails were, and thick pads covered his palms. He stood up, then looked at his body. His shirt and jeans remianed, but the remains of his sneakers hung on his beastly feet. "What the hell did I do...?" V8 muttered to himself, noticing his voice was the same, but with a bit nasal echo to it. "Wait, I can talk? Seems like I didn't lose everything..". After resting from the shock of this realization, he decided to go against the legend, which he now believes, and hid out in the woods some more. He was amazed by his new physical ability, allowing him to run very fast, but was relieved to see that his claws, while very lethal looking, were actually dull and useless.

Later that evening, after eating a few squirrels ( personally, V8 regretted eating them, and buried the bones in patches of dirt to ease his conscience), he heard rustling in the trees a few meters away. V8 laid on his stomach, making sure to hide in case it was hunters. However, it was apparent who it was as soon as he heard them calling out "V8! Where are you?". It was his friends! He called back "I'm over here!", and soon enough his friends got close to his area, and he told them "When you see me, don't be shocked alright? I won't hurt you." He stood up, and his friends were in awe (or was it shock?) at their friends new look. "Are you guys happy now? I'm flippin' cursed!" V8 told them. "Uh, well, do... You still want the hundered?" one of them said. "Damn it, no! Actually, I don't care about the money. Can you find something to try and reverse this curse?" V8 asked of his friends. "Well... fine. If anyone in town sees you..." one of V8's friends was starting to say, but V8 finished his sentence with "...they will try to capture, maim, or kill me. Yeah, I'll hide out here for a little while longer. Could you just get me some new clothes? These are getting damaged out here." "Fine. We'll come back ASAP, V8!" they all said. Both V8 and friends bid themselves farewell, and V8 went to hide under a few rocks that formed a lean-to. "Man, how am I getting
out of this situation?" V8 thought to himself as it started to rain....
