Me too, but I missed the season. So I didn't take pictures of them blossoming.

They look fine. I was just mentioning heathers in a poem. I think they were used to make yellow dye- even though they bloom purple.

Oh, have you written a poem?
I have just looked it up because I keep forgetting which plants are used for dying, and I actually found an instruction that involves dried heathers (calluna vulgaris). And yes, it's designed to dye yellow.

Yeah, it is the ongoing Cuchulainn poem. I may post it sometime - my lusty heathers.

Geez, my eyes are already seeing things that don't exist. I was about to ask "What feathers?"
Also, I wanted to write something that I forgot this morning, but as I forgot it again in the meantime it was either a ly or unimportant. I guess the latter applies.
I hope you're having a good week so far.

Maybe I will post that when my partner pairs it with the illustration. I seem to have lost a lot of my inspiration or motivation to write. I am having more problems remembering things myself. There are probably many reasons for that.
My week is okay. I keep selling some of my work on Ebay. There is a lady that seems to like my work, but she lives halfway across the country so the shipping is stealing my profit. Then again I am not really profiting, but at least I am breaking even- kind of.

Ah okay. If it's a collab, so it's probably best when it's all combined.
I don't feel very motivated either. The problem is that inspiration and motivation never come in bundles. At least not for me ... I can go outside, and I feel extremly inspired, but there's just no motivation to write anything down.
If she likes your stuff it might be better to order more at once. Or do you have to pay more the more pieces a package contains? Sure the weight is important but it's probably cheaper to send out one package instead of ten.
Well, breaking even is always a question of perspective ... I guess in art there's no such thing as breaking even.

I think you just pay for weight and distance. She ordered everything separately at different times. She wanted to by my wood spirit piece, but my mother asked me if she could have it- so I will take it down from sales.
There should be a meteor shower around Orion tonight and tomorrow- keep your eyes out.

I could not even see Orion last night- light pollution. I will look again tonight.

I haven't seen anything. The moon set at midnight, but I fell asleep, and when I woke up at 2 it was all cloudy and foggy outside (like in a horror movie, actually).

Your environs sound and look great. I envy you. I would love to have fog- I would play in it like a little kid. I will check the sky now before bed. Last night I saw nothing.

I rarely go shopping for anything other than art supplies or the essentials.

I reduced my shopping trips for essentials to one day a week. It just takes me too much time. No matter what I need, I am always away for one hour minimum. So I go on Saturdays and take two hours for foraging for a whole week.
My friend jumps in her car like four times week to go shopping.

I know the Italians shopped daily for food sometimes- everything had to be fresh. It is probably healthier than canned food with preservatives.

Oh sure it is. We have a butchers shop next door. That's were I shop during the week. But my big shopping tour for beverages etc. is once a week. I mean it always involves a lot of driving and with the gaz prices leaving the village every day for shopping only, my bottle of water became even more expensive.

Long Island has good water from the tap. Good meat is a luxury. The rare steak hits the spot though. Gas is crazy.
I might play hookey and go to Sleepy Hollow by myself tomorrow- but we'll see.

I will write you on sunday or monday, but if this hurricane comes, I might be out of power for a while- have no worries though. It will make for an interesting Halloween.
