The idea behind this is that Loki (Thor, Avengers) is actually the embodiment of Micheal's Grace, but instead of turning into a tree when he touched down, because trees don't grow on Jotunhiem, he turned into a Frost Giant. Dean (Supernatural) is really the Archangel Micheal, who for whatever reason lost his mojo, remembers who he is and then they reconnect and are awesomely doing awesome things. Because angels can resurrect people, don't ya know?
