“Hey there pretty young thing, It's your turn to play.” Jiraiya took your hand, helping you off the couch and led you to the middle of the room. “Go ahead and choose your item.”

You nodded and placed your hand inside the bucket. “Let's hope I don't get anyone too freaky.”
Immediately realizing there were way too many items for you to try to make an educated decision, you chose at random. What you lifted out of the bucket looked, and felt like, a beanie baby in the design of a shrimp. You thought maybe it belonged to Iruka, but before you could ask a large hand took hold of your shoulder.

“It seems you have my item. Too bad for you.” Kisame laughed, patting your shoulder.

“I actually kind of feel bad for you.” Jiraiya looked at you, unsure if he wanted to let you go into the closet with Kisame.

“Your rude Jiraiya.” You took Kisame's hand and walked into the closet, sitting you both on the floor. “I don't see what the big deal is.”

“Fine, but you'll see. He's dangerous, just like everyone else in the Akatsuki. So please be careful, just be careful. I don't want you hurt.” Jiraiya slowly shut the door, a worried look covering his face. He didn't lock it, just in case.

“I have a quick question. Why did you say it was too bad for me when I picked your item?” You looked up at Kisame. You were suddenly worried what he might do in here. You really hoped Jiraiya wasn't right.

Kisame let out a shrill laugh. “Why, are you worried?” He moved closer to you, smiling wide and exposing his pointed teeth. “No. You said you hoped you didn't get anyone too freaky, then you picked my shrimp.” He suddenly looked sad. “I know I'm a freak. I have blue skin, gills, and sharp, pointy teeth.” He sighed. “You would have enjoyed your time much more if you were with Itachi. He's a normal, good looking guy.”

You felt awful for him. Even if he was part of the Akatsuki, you couldn't leave him sitting there like a sad puppy. Without thinking first, you reached up to hug him. “You're too hard on yourself. Not everyone is so focused on looks you know. A lot of people are, but still. If you're nice then it really doesn't matter how you look. At least not to me.”

He let out a nervous laugh. “I'm not very nice either.” Kisame had the slightest hint of blush on his cheeks.

“You're nice to Itachi and you've been pretty nice to me.” You squeezed him tighter. “I don't think you're so bad.” You pecked him on the cheek.

“I could kill you before anyone even opened that door you know. And you're hugging me, and kissing my cheek. Something might be wrong with you.” He laughed.

You smiled. “Yeah, but I don't think you will.” Jiraiya opened up the door, he didn't say anything, only stared with his mouth wide open. “You okay Jiraiya? You look a little shocked.” You quickly stood from the closet floor and pushed past him.

Kisame followed you, then headed straight for Itachi. He made no attempt to whisper or even lower his voice when he spoke. “Itachi, I like her. We're going to have to come back later and steal her, unless she'll come willingly.”
