I can lie about it, but I won't; the name "Marty" suddenly came to me just a few weeks ago, and I wanted to apply my palm to my face so hard.It's not like I chose the name "Larie" out of a series of names I had thought up and listed for myself. It was just an easy solution when I understood Marie wasn't spelled or pronounced "Mary", and thus my first given name for Larie, "Lary", didn't work anymore. I even changed all the titles of the submissions including him when I changed his name; but now I've drawn the boy so much, I couldn't even change his name if I wanted to. Such a shame, no one has come up with "Marty Kanker" or "Mario Kanker" yet. Damnit. I call dibs, anyway.
An, Ann n Anny was my first creation concerning Ed, Edd n Eddy, not counting their lionized versions, and as a 16-year-old, I wasn't clever enough to come up with any accurate names, so I won't beat myself up over it.
Larie Kanker is a nice name. And a girls name according to some websites.
Also, the joke Larie is making is "lariekoek". Translate it from Dutch.

All the Dutch translators I've found suck various sizes of dick, but I managed to get the basic joke after barely getting the translations for the words and rearranging the words so they made sense:
so, correct me if I'm wrong, but I think the translation is ' if my surname was 'koek' ( cake) it still would have been funny' which is I guess a poke at the possible name of 'Mario' since Mario went all that way to rescue princess peach because she made him a cake...
Or maybe I completely missed the whole joke, I dunno.

Hmno, "Koek" isn't what needed to be translated here. I already revealed the joke in the description.
But you are fairly close with the translation, he says "If my last name was "Koek", at least it would've been funny"; so he's talking about his name being "Larie Koek", opposed to "Larie Kanker", and "lariekoek" means "humbug"/"nonsense" in Dutch.
