The announced Steven Universe movie antagonist, redesigned, called Pink Tourmaline here.Someone at Tumblr requested to see her powers/weapons. I thought about keeping the rubber limbs, but they're not the most intimidating features you can give a villain. Iβd rather have her be tall, then.
This lady is basically the planet sucking machine itself, and becomes stronger when taking the life of something -or someone- else.
While the design and portrayal of the original isn't doing it for me, I'm curious to see what her deal is. We've only been given a trailer.

i like how she looks threatening, hardly any of the gems or people look threatening in this show. Like seriously, theyβre rock aliens! Why do they look so much like humans, why arenβt they scarier or more dangerous looking? Why are some of their weapons ones we would have here, why arenβt they more space alien-like? Blasters or floating orbs or discs or something?Β

Her main issue really is her uninspired looks. She's a normal skin tone away from looking like an unsuspicious human girl.
Yes, the designs some of these gem characters sport are a wasted opportunity, considering they're aliens. Their fusions are more interesting. Why would a space gemstone project the image of an evolved ape only found on the planet Earth, anyway. Why don't they look like pigeons mixed with zorillas, or seaweed dragons, or pikachus? I've seen strange and hideous gems in the show, but they're always sitting in the background. The "important" characters are never not human.
