It is in the end of season 4. The doctor got his hand cut off and the tardis tried to heal the hand and the doctor, and created a whole other doctor. Then the real doctor was able to put the other doctor with rose in her world.

Oh lordy, I remember crying watching Rose and The Doctor say goodbye, at the very end he was going to tell her he loved her but the wormhole closed and he cried (sigh) and I bawled my eyes out
