Okay, so now I feel like I'm creeping on your gallery, but I just saw this and I had to comment. xD
It's freaking me out how similar your headcanon is to mine. I think I totally agree on just about everything--Wales should have been a girl, he has a pet dragon, he loves books revolving around fantasy, he can sing...even he's friends with Iceland. Did you like, write down my thoughts or something?! xD

LOL! Awww, that's awesome that you have a similar headcanon for Wales! I really do hope Himaruya makes him (sadly Wales is a guy *sighs* ) friends with Iceland ~_~ He has to at least give him a pet dragon! I'd be a little miffed if he gives the dragon to England the way he gave Scotland's unicorn to England *__*

Me too, a pet dragon would be awesome. And I never understood why Arthur got the unicorn. It's the Scottish emblem; why would the English man have it...?

I think Himaruya wanted to emphasize England's affinity with fairies and mythical creatures so threw in every mythical creature he could think of - including the unicorn.
I've asked about though, and most English people I've asked admit that they're nowhere near as into fairies and magic as the Celtic nations like Ireland, Wales and Scotland are. I hope when Himaruya FINALLY introduces Scotland and the others, they'll all have their fairy companions too. I kind of want Scotland to have a Kelpie water horse since England already took his unicorn >_>

Kelpie as a mythical pet; and Nessie as a real pet... I like how both of Scotland's 'pets' live in lochs XD

Perhaps Scotland is a water-loving guy. ~.~
It suddenly struck me that Norway and Scotland both have a continuous chain of mountains with lakes/lochs in common too. Maybe I'm thinking about it too hard. xP

Is it really? Then I guess I wasn't far off base, then! But I guess that firths wouldn't really be the same thing as fjords, even if they are similar.

Yeah, I don't think anywhere's quite the same. I'd love to visit either, personally! They both sound so gorgeous and definitely something you can't find in the U.S.
