Description Just testing to see whether I can get glass to work properly on the Cornea and Eye Reflection. It's showing the reflections now but the wet look I desire is coming from the glossiness of the sclera and iris (about 9500). It might be too shiny and glossy. The bump maps were cranked a little high as well.

Made using this scene courtesy of MattyManx and wolfram2244 www.luxrender.net/forum/viewto… Obviously I used an eyeball instead of a Luxball...

A more realistic eye may have looked better!

Thanks for the tip. I don't use Daz Studio but I will try your implementation in Poser.

Looks good.  Check the alpha setting on the cornea and eye reflection - sometimes for no reason it seems to go to zero sometimes on it's own.  It seems fine here, however.  I'm going to try your iris and sclera settings - thanks for the pic - very cool idea.

I noticed it was on 0 when I did the test, so I cranked it to 100. Now I'm wondering whether it's been off this whole time with my other renders...

Go for it! Let me know whether it adds to the realism or whether it should be more reliant on the eye surface/cornea wetness/reflection.

There is something disconcerting about an exposed eyeball..especially one posed so prettily. O_o

Nice attempt, though.  It's good to see someone trying to work out the materials for eyes.  I like it, and I hope you do more trials.  Try it out on an actual Genesis or Genesis 2 eye.  Hide the head and everything else and go for it.

Ooh! Hi Slosh! I didn't know you had a DA account.

It is a G2M eye. I just hid the body... I couldn't get the soft edge around the iris like I can in Studio. Hmm...

The eyes kill it for me every time. They're the biggest giveaway in CG art. I see a lot of awesome pro renders like this moon245.3dtotal.com/admin/new_… and lament that I can't do eyes like that...(or lighting, skin, etc )

If you haven't already, take a look at this Journal entry of mine mrslosh.deviantart.com/journal… .  There is a picture/screenshot of the settings as well, which is linked in the journal entry.

Ah!! Thank you! Some great tips there. I'll have a play later.
