another selection from the upcoming book "The Lost Girl". Joy does an awful lot of running in this story.This story tops out at 120 pages, and it's kind of interesting to see the various little changes that occur when constantly redrawing characters. I like to think that I get better as I go along--that'll be for others to decide--but other adjustments are made along the way as well.
A few people have pointed out that Joy looks like a mashup of my other characters, Gogo and Andy, or even a female version of Andy. I do see it, and it's kind of funny, because I don't think I intended that
That sort of thing is hard to judge for yourself as an artist. enjoy!

i like the action and suspense in these panels. it makes me want to know what's happening. i love how the antagonist only shows up twice; his appearances really make the scene.

he'd been wearing his bandage for several pages, and i was getting tired of them, so i engineered a clever "they get removed off-panel" scheme

I love the perspective on the poses, they're very dynamic and feel like she's really moving. The nighttime color palette looks fantastic, as well. Great job!

The 4th panel and the final panel really stand out to me. I like the shot, the composition, the position of Joy's body in those two particular panels. Really nice work. Keep it up! ^_^

this whole book's forced me to do more "body" shots than ever before. Like a lot of artists, if left to my own devices i just draw heads and torsos because it's usually easier

Perfect poses. They convey panic and exertion very well. Good colour too. This is one of those pages that just doesn't do anything wrong.
