I knew it all along, that beneath that seemingly fearsome exterior, lies the heart of chivalrous and virtuous soul. Gogo has proven that she is scrupulous and has a sense of honor, by committing an honorable act, in graciously donating her winnings to Roy. She could have kept that money for herself and simply worked off her debt through labor, as previously agreed upon, but she chose the side of virtue, instead.
These are among some of the characteristics that I find make the character of Gogo rather compelling.
Beneath it all, she is noble. She is human.
Bravo, Van. You are becoming very adept in crafting believable characters.

Gogo does have a pretty morally upright center, true, but when it comes to things like money, that sense of morality comes at least as much from the fact that, to her, it IS just money. Though money isn’t a foreign concept to her, it’s a thing that other people insist on getting all bent out of shape over.
Admittedly, it’s a point of view that’s a lot simpler to live with as a superpowered vagrant who can get what they want through less virtuous means if necessary, but hey...it works out for now

Wait. Gogo got three $10 bills, one from each guy, but in the previous strip one of them said he only had a $20 bill. So one of them must've had two $10 bills, or one $10 bill and another $10 in change, and given it in exchange for that $20 bill, right? Because we don't see him exchanging his $20 bill for two $10 bills from Leesha at the cash register. I don't think I can see the cash register at all, actually. Why don't they just give Gogo one $20 bill and one $10 bill and then give the other $10 to the guy who gave the $20 bill? That would've been more efficient and made more sense, I think. My disbelief is suspended by a very thin thread right now, mister.

Gogo really does live in the moment! has money for one second, gives it away! The necessities of room and board obtained through a work contract she may or may not be qualified for? Sure, whatever. But now is the Hour of Pancakes!
I'm really enjoying this first scene of Gogo ingratiating herself to Juno Grove's populace. (Well, as much as you can bulldozing through three platters of food with maple syrup on 1/3 of yer face.) It's gonna be great watching it unfold!
