"Er...uh...we're exploring advanced cross-elemental techniques..."Big ups to the season finale of Legend of Korra. I won't dispense any spoilage here, but i will say that it was a wild ride all season long, I wish it weren't over, I wish it was a dozen episodes longer so they'd have more time to flesh out their awesome ideas...*sigh* But even so, they (obviously) made a big fan of me, and it's going to be a long drought now that season 1 has run its course.
As is the problem with A:TLA, there's a surplus of sweet characters to choose from in Korra, but i managed to squeeze in Team Avatar 2.0 plus the airbending kids. And, you know...fartbending.

It's amazing what ideas can be brought up, especially at strange circumstances. I just love how Korra gives her "What?" face along with a roaring laugh from Bolin! ^_^

Meelo, the greatest mistake of Avatar world... Damn you, Ki Hyun Ryu, for inventing fartbending and making him so ugly.
And I do agree that Season 1. was too short. Plus, what they presented in season's finale would make a great ending of the whole series, but not the first season. I have no idea how are they gonna top that.

This is awesome! I'm a huge fan of the show myself and I'm sad it's over, but this is a wonderful homage to the show. Executed with great skill and talent. Your passion for the show really shows (haha)

Great picture! Though, I gotta say, Mako and Bolin are just bad cahracters in general. Mako is boring, and Bolin is just an idiot. He's like the Jar Jar Binks of Avatar. It's sad when Tenzen's kids, who are minor characters, are more interesting than Mako and Bolin, who are major characters that appear in every episode.

I don't think Mako and Bolin are bad, really. I think it's more a case of the show being so crowded and consolidated that they never get much of a chance to be more than quick studies. The show moves really fast, and as much as i loved it, it tends to drag the characters along at the same speed and doesn't give you much time to let the characters grow on you. It seems that with LoK, people either liked or disliked characters instantly.

I get exactly what you mine. Its just hard to remember that LoK is a MINIseries. It's just not possible for characters and plotlines to be as fleshed out as the original series had spoilt us to expect. When you think about it that way, you gotta give props to what they've been able to do.

Personally I find LoK to be rather disappointing waste of potential compared to TLA. Too much sloppy romance and fart jokes to say the least.

In the beginning of the season I felt that they are trying to put too much stuff inside in too short time. Maybe they were afraid they won't get green light for later seasons and tried to include as much stuff as possible in this one. Also to be honest I actually enjoyed a bit the episodes towards the end 'cause they were mostly action and I didn't have to bear through bad dialogue.
