posting a few character pieces i've done in the past few days as a sort of artistic "workout" (translates kind of literally here) I don't draw for fun (apart from comics) as often as I used to or should, trying to change that with some daily drawings

And that poor little top she's wearing looks like it's not long for this world. This actually got me to thinkingΒ about just
how much her wardrobe has had to change in the last few years in order to accommodate the additional - erm, expansion.

All rumps exert gravitational forces, which is why people above certain dimensions are popular with controlling tidal forces such as waves and Internet interest.
The wardrobe in question is marching onward to the point where Gogo just shrugs and throws on a generously sized toga each morning. Or just a bed sheet. Not as alluringly fitted, but practical.

Not a big fan of how the hands fit around her waist. Doesn't seem like a natural pose, and almost makes it seem as if she's trying to be two dimensional. That, and her forearms are MASSIVE compared to he wrists. Otherwise I dig it. It's a different kind of shading style from you Van. Keep at it!

This piece is hit and miss for me.
Any "flex" pose can look awkward. By nature they're kind of unnatural poses meant for emphasis. It either looks right or forced.
The hands on the waist is a tricky shot to nail, as much of the hand disappears around the sides while the thumb wraps around. Combined with the emphasis of muscle on the arms and shoulders, this makes the hands sit funny and look smaller than they are.
A full-bodied image, or a composition that showed more of the legs might have balanced out SOME proportions--without thighs or a standing pose for reference, the character's hind end looks more emphasized than it ought to be, for example.
So yeah...valid critique. Thanks!

Dang that is a lovely view of her back!Β The play of light over her muscles and curves is really nice, and I love the attitude conveyed in her stance and expression.Β Would be my new wallpaper in a heartbeat if the sizes were more synched.Β Gogo seems like she'd make for a good motivational desktop subject.
