Description
This is Kero from Cardcaptor Sakura, also known as Keroberos in his true from, and Kero-chan in the form I put him here. He is the Sun guardian of the cards in the anime. This is hands down the best plushie I've made to date in my opinion. I put in a lot of work, and applied a variety of mediums to get the desired effect. He's absolutely adorable, and I have about five people who want to run off with him.The plushie was inspired by the plushie here, although my pattern does not match the one the poster used- [link]
I changed the way the arms, ears, tail and various other parts were done, but the pattern inspired this piece. A lot of the parts of the pattern I couldn't get to work in my own style, so I changed it to my own.
This plushie is the first I've done with embroidery for the nose and mouth, and it worked very well. It's also the first embroidery I've ever done. The wings are hand sewn, and everything else is crocheted, aside from the plastic eyes.
If you're wondering what's with the chocolate bar, Kero loves candy and sweets in the anime. I rewatched the anime recently, and fell in love with it again, and had to do this plushie.

Thanks! Ugh, don't get me started on the wings. They were a bigger pain then they needed to be. The thread got tangled like every other stitch, so the wings ended up taking an hour or so a piece. I normally shy away from mixing sewing and crochet, but the wings would have been impossible to crochet. I like them as is though.

Yea, the anime was pretty well known for its time, but now the company lost the license, so it's pretty rare to see. The chocolate bar was Pat's idea because Kero has an obsession with chocolate and candies in the anime, and he eats sweets nonstop. Thanks a lot for the comment!

Thanks a lot! No one's been able to pry the plushie out of my arms since I made him. He's just too cute. I'd offer to make you one if I didn't have school starting up again tomorrow. I appreciate the comment; I've been trying to make my plushies better as I go on. I think some of the stuff I learned in this one will help me make my other ones better.

Trust me, Pat won't let me live that Bahamut down, ever. He keeps prodding me to make one. I'm curious how you'd react if I actually make a Bahamut; not full sized obviously, but plushie sized.

I'm willing to give it a shot and fuel to the ongoing joke, but I'd probably start it later on, if that's okay. I've got three other plushies I need to finish/do first- a Lopmon I started eight months ago and never completed, Sakura from Cardcaptor Sakura and some Halloween decorations for my family. But if I get those done and school's going okay, sure, I'll give Bahamut a shot. It's going to be hard, but I'll be willing to try it.

Thanks a lot! I was trying to go the closest colors I could on what I had to make his skintone, and I'm surprised how close it came out. The inside of the ears is actually a really soft yarn, so I keep playing with them.

Thanks! My camera decided to fight with me, so I ended up taking about 30 pictures before I got three good ones. For some reason, my camera hates photographing yarn, lol. I'm glad you liked it!
