ProcessΒEven going into winter it's never late for a pool party 8)
This one felt like it took forever to make, but it was a lot of fun! Sunny and Starlight were great in that one EQG episode and I thought they make a good fit for this picture as ponies. I got a bit impatient with the background though, but I'm happy with how this turned out- been a while since I've tackled a big project like this ^^

RWMIOUAEG ALRIGHT ,ALRIGHT, SO LET ME JUST SAY THAT IT'S BEEN CENTURIES SINCE I'VE COMMENTED ON YOUR ART, THOUGH I'VE SEEN THE GOODNESS IN THEM, and still the amount of quality of which you instill that still continues to amaze me tremendously with the effort put within that really has your art piece come to life with all that lush color and adorable ponies with the realistic and natural touch towards it. HONESTLY FEELS refreshing to finally look at your art and just all that I appreciate within it. Honestly I'm just gushing with happiness, joy and excitement, as for I think that it really puts a smile on my face when I'm able to share the love that I have for others creations and it doesn't get any better than that for me. This is soooooooo great with their interactions, really pure and I love every part of it! YOUR ART IS SO FANTASTIC, WITH THE DEPTH AND JUST AHHH, it definitely is something that deserves to be appreciated ten-fold and it's really heartwarming when that is the case. HONESTLY, THE LOVE THAT YOU'RE GETTING FOR YOUR ART MAKES ME SMILE SOOOOOOOOO MUCH AND YOUR IMPROVEMENT AND JOURNEY OF BEING A PONI ARTIST IS <3 Your art is unique and truly impactful with the appeal and charm which it gives and the ideas of which you craft and bring together into something really worth gazing at. I really just want posters upon posters of your art so bad so I could just plaster them on my walls ahhhhh <3 OKOKOK, NOW FOR THE PIECE ITSELF, BECAUSE I STILL HAVE SO MUCH TO SAY REGARDING HOW MUCH I LOVE IT A LOTTTTTT. The interactions between these two are so genuine and I love how that's portrayed, with their smiles and looks of contentment. The soft textures and welcoming colors definitely ease you in and attribute to that cozy and heartwarming, lighthearted tone that this piece has, making you grin so much! Honestly, the details in here are fantastic and of which I can write extensively with how great you've done and the effect that it gives. OK LIKE, I SWEAR I COULD WRITE PAPERS ON YOUR ART, (submit them to my Language class haha.) But seriously, the details in here are glorious and how you achieve them is great.
Which is why I'm going to point out what I love in this right now, but hopefully it's not too long loll. I love their manes so much in this, let's start with Sunset. Your texturing is always something that amazes me and is jaw-dropping with the beauty that is shown with it. Her mane has that silky look which is shown with the coloring, from the shift of dark to light tones of color and the silk appearance that give it this natural and realistic look of mane that imitates hair well to just mesmerize you so well! The strands of her hair give that natural look too and the beautiful lighting. Can I just say that the shading all around in this is beautiful. The light of which is a silhouette around them with the ethereal glow that it gives. The shading that gives depth to really immerse the ponies within the setting and set the cozy atmosphere that is being portrayed here.AND OF COURSE, SUNSET'S EXPRESSION IN HERE MELTS MY HEART. You've captured the cuteness in ponies excellently and in here it's something that makes me smileeeeeeeeee. Those eyes have the pure essence of beauty shown within that, of her pure cyan like eyes, with the reflection that gives that sparkle. The genuine smile and the way that you do her muzzle in here with the shading is adorable and just makes me happy to see happy ponies ahhhh. Her pose is adorable as she's lurking around in the Pool tube. Honestly, you captured the fun of summer and them cooling of so well. AND FOR STARLIGHT, GOSH SHE'S SO CUTE! With her pose and the adorable expression of joy that she has, as she's about to get in the soothing waters. It's so heartwarming cozy, and her mane which really gives that perspective and added depth of portraying the natural nature of her diving in. D'aw her swimsuit as with how her mane is colored tooooooo and the blend of colors is glorious. Her mane does have that beautiful look to with the strands and everything which makes it so complete and shiny too! The little details in the coloring are wonderful, as it's not one solid color, as it just captures your eyes so well with the variety of coloring and the vibrancy and calming look. These two are adorable, and I love how you've done this a lot and your art is just <3 The background of course toooooo, LOVE THE DETAILS AS WITH THE BLUR TO GIVE THE FOCUS ON THOSE TWO AND IT STILL LOOKS BEAUTIFUL. REALLY BEAUTIFUL, REALLY HEARTWARMING, COZY, REALLY CUTE, REALLY AMAZING, REALLY WELL DONE.Β

Aw thank you so much! I really appreciate all the kind feedback and support youβve given me all this time, even when I was still at a pretty amateur state of my artistic endeavors. Hey well, the season pattern in Equestria seems to behave a little differently, and the weather can be manipulated in one way or another, so there's usually some good opportunities for a pool party all years round.... unless you're in the Crystal Empire or some place further away. >.>
Twilight must be pretty strict about pool parties because Starlight seems very, very excited. It looks like Starlight doesn't get to do this kind of thing too often. Poor girl. D= And what is this?! Are you playing around with Sunset's mane style? I think it's looking pretty neat and more realistic too. ^^Β

No swimming in the pool until she's done with her friendship homework- but this is helping build friendships too, so it can't be that bad!
Haha yeah, I was actually just sketching around when I first started this picture so I didn't use any sort of reference for her normal kind of hair. But I kinda like this, and I'm glad you do too. Thank you!
