Well I was working on a ref for Trixy because it's on my to do list before I head back to school..and as I was drawing out a few poses, I REALLY liked this one so I just.....turned it into this
..and for some reason Trixy's expression made me think of Vekke when she's like "wo!" jgsd it kills me. Vekke your words are inspiring.
Trixy's really fun to draw now... )8 With this more loose style and all. I mean she was before, but now it's just awesome. I dont feel so.. ~*restricted*~ with her anymore.

Nice expressions used here, but mind if I critique on a few things?
One thing that I noticed was the way the back was arched. It might be the style of this picture, but it doesn't seem very natural for a dog to have its back in this way. Making the arched back run smoother might give her more grace. It almost seems like she's coming to a halt after seeing something dreadful.
One other thing: The furthest arm from the front of the body. I noticed how the elbows aren't parallel to each other, which I don't think is correct. The back legs you did fine, and I can see that the joints are lined up towards each other. The front legs, however, seem uneven. Or it could be the pose screwing me up...
Other than those small things, nice job

C: I can understand how some things probably look off, I was trying to go for a certain style and it is supposed to be a sort of "halting/surprised" pose. At this point while I'm trying to get more stylized, I realize there will be some errors and kinks I need to work out, so thank you so much for the crit!

Um.. You don't really have to answer this, but I'm just curious. What had you come up with this new little style here? Did you just come up with it on your own?

It's pretty much a more simplified version of my more semi-realistic style I had going on for a while before. It wasnt really working too well for animation..time wise, so I decided to simplify it and loosen it up some, and this is what I got. C: It makes my motion more fluid too, so I'm very happy with it. Basically being in animation forces you to simplify, so that's what happened to my style.

it looks..like on the TV-screen! I mean, you got that feeling that this is a "real" animated character. I dunno what is it - the colors, the color of the lineart maybe...dunno but it's great. Why don't you start a production of some kids-related short movies?

Trixy is a species of mine called the Vulpra C: Her tail is huge because underneath all that fur is actually a long reptile sort of tail, kind of similar to maybe an alligator's tail or dragon's tail.

I know how you feel! I remember when I stopped restricted my noses to those horrid triangles so popular in anime. It just made every face seem so much more exciting! Now I'm all sorts of giddy to see a full blown ref like this.
