Description Having a frolic with this picture, Deoxys times four! Like all viruses, Deoxys learns to change itself in order to continue its parasitic lifestyle. Of course Deoxys is just far cooler, and heck, very few people have drawn all the forms in one picture let alone the speed form. (Speed is in front, defense is in the back, attack is on the left and normal on the right, just in case anyone gets lost.)
I forgot where exactly I found the promo pics of the Deoxys, but I managed to find all of them. The colors for the attack, defense and normal forms are from the Japanese movie poster. The speed form has no such color reference and I figured it would either go into the yellow colors, or into a really dark red. I picked yellow since yellow is a fast color. Ended up organizing the picture by preferences... I mean come on, defense Deoxys is so ugly! (Okay, so are all the other forms, but it's the worst.) Shading was basic, just grabbed the airbrush and went with it, same with the little aurora thing in the back. Pretty basic picture.

Probably the one thing about the shading, besides being dark, is the fact that the light source is the individual gems mounted in Deoxys' chest. Deoxys is a Pokemon, number err, 300 and something.

Yeah, I'd agree that Deoxys isn't the nicest Pokemon to look at, and it sounds like the spawn of a campy 1930's horror flick. But you've definitely used composition and bright colors to make it look alot more interesting. I also wonder how you make those really nifty starscapes, the one on here is perfectly done.

I don't watch a lot of movies, in fact, I didn't even know movies were made in the 1930's. No wonder I never win at Trivial Pursuit... Thanks for the comments, they're very sweet. Deoxys has a really vibrant cadmium orange sort of color, it's really fun to play with. For some weird reason the color reminds me of tea. The background was really easy to do. For stars, grab a brush and dot like mad. It's kind of sad that it's done manually but there is generally no better way. The aurora was done with an airbrush and a couple colors. I did a couple more things to it but basically a lot of adjusting with the brush.

No, I didn't mean this movie, I meant some other campy flicks. But meh, that's just evidence that I'm losing my touch at commenting. Keep up the good work.

Very nice. I've seen some Deoxys fanart in the past. Specifically from , but like you I never saw all of her four forms in one picture. the aurora and the space background gives the pic a nice feeling, since the pokΓ©mon comes from outer space. Kinda gives some background info with that.

I've seen Deoxys art from Purple Kecleon and someone else most often... Hitachi or something like that. His Deoxys have such bubbly personalities. But generally there is not a widespread amount. I figure it's because of how new it is and also it's appearance... Like how often do people draw, say Muk? *Shrugs* Oh well. Nice to know that the background managed to get the space orienation of the Pokemon across although I feel kind of cheap for doing what is otherwise an easy background.
Thanks for the comments. I guess I'll have to keep my eyes open for more Pokemon art.
