Ah, it's been forever since I did a Final Fantasy image. I've been thinking about doing one themed like this for a while. That buster sword just kept getting handed down. It's got a wild history. Man, some of its owners....I went about this one a bit differently than I usually do on my FF images. Instead of taking shots from the game and movies and using those, I used those images as references and rebuilt these ones that I'm using. I altered colors and positioning a bit but if you recognize the stuff here, it's because I used the game and movie for reference.
Anyway, let me tell you Cloud's hair is a beast. It's insane. I hate all the bitty little highlights and random strands he has. They're so difficult to deal with. I got so tired of looking at pixels of Cloud's hair that my eyes started to twitch. Zack's hair didn't pose so much of a problem because he's much smaller and far more faded into the image. Of course, you probably can't even see Angeal unless you go to full view. His hair was easy, it's all black.
So I've got two more images featuring Cloud and Zack, but no Angeal (there doesn't seem to be much call for him).

I wish they'd make a remake of FF VII! (and not mess it up of course. XD) With the level of graphics FF uses nowadays, it'd be AMAZING!

Yeah, I guess that is the continuing problem with remakes--consistency. Although, even if they did change a few things, they couldn't change stuff overall because with DoC, CC, and ACC, continuum has been established.

Indeed he should. He's tragic enough and in FF you can't have the spotlight unless you're tragic.

oh how i love all three of them! you know who else isn't done often...much like angeal? Genesis and Denzel/Marlene. I love them.

I must admit to not caring much about Denzel/Marlene but yes, Genesis is sorely undersung. He's cool and psycho and I'd do something with him if I could get over the fact that he irritates me. It's irritating in a cool way, though, if that makes any sense. To me, he seems like one of those bad guys who's just a little too psycho and a little too smart but he's all namby pamby and emo, spouting off poetry and prose. Sephiroth is cooler. Anyway, now that I've gone and terribly digressed, I'll just shut up now.

lol yeah Genesis can get irritating at times quoting Loveless this way and that. and there's times when i hate Sephiroth too....mostly for what he did to Cloud and Zack. And I guess I see Marlene and Denzel as the future of Avalanche. Take over for Cloud and Tifa kinda deal. I've had some pretty amusing thoughts as to what would happen if Denzel tried to be like Cloud...the kinds of things he would get himself into. like wanting to fight and they don't let him so he gets rebellious. Man, there's so many characters that are awesome in final fantasy! why do most anime/CG guys have to be cuter and nicer than real guys?

Hmm, never thought of Denzel and Marlene like that. I guess they're more tolerable now. But Denzel trying to be like Cloud is just weird. Not many people can be so pitiful and so awesome at the same time. As for the, uhh, cuteness of anime/CG guys, I think that can be attributed to the fact that they are of Japanese origin. I hear that Japanese guys spend just as much time as Japanese girls making themselves pretty. So since Japanese people make them, they're bound to want to make them all pretty and stuff.

This is an amazing piece. The detail and sheer accuracy is astounding! This is definately a favorite!
