OK, kinda long story...back during the summer I went to Comic-Con and while I was there I got to meet Jeff Smith, the creator of Bone as well as get two free volumes of the new colored edition of the Bone series (yes they are also signed by Jeff Smith, as well as the guy who colored them), and after I read them again I was reminded of how much I loved the series way back when I was younger, I had never finished the series and I always wondered how it had ended. I was amazed with the coloring, originally a Black and White comic, it came out stunningly well when colored, the artist really did a fantastic job. So I found out when the next colored volume was coming out so that I could keep re-reading and eventually pick up from where I had left off. Not till next year, not only that, but the release schedule was only 2 books a year T.T well, I am impatient, and my rekindled love of the series could not wait that long to start it up again. Luckily, there is also a "One Volume Edition" of Bone, which, to the untrained eye, could quite easily be mistaken for one of the original Gutenberg Bibles due to it's enormous size. Nevertheless, I had to buy it, so I did. After having finally read all of it for the first time I must say, Bone is most Definitely one of THE best comics ever produced, for those of you not familiar with it, it comes close to a cross between the old Pogo comics by Walt Kelley (to whom Jeff Smith attributes much of his inspiration) and The Lord of the Rings. Sound strange? yes. Is it? well...kinda, but it's also freaking awesome, and so you all should at least introduce, if not obsess, yourself to this series. It really has a wonderful story and some of the best artwork I've ever seen in an American comic, and even of alot of Japanese comics.

Now...about the drawing XD In the midst of my rekindled love to this series I decided to draw Bone in as close a representation to the original, I think it came out pretty well for a pencil drawing, since I was trying to emulate an inked style. I also drew a bunch of rat creatures from the series, but I still need to scan it, maybe eventually I'll get it up, anyblah that was way too much writing for this picture, so I think I'lol stop now, enjoy ^^
