Description I'm a big fan of the One Piece series, for one because of how wonderful most of the characters and story plots are, but also because of how unique and incredible Eichihiro Oda's abilities are as an artist. I love the style of it because it's so unlike any other manga I've ever read, it doesn't conform to the standard that everyone seems to think governs the way anime and manga should look like. After reading a few Graphic Novels, I was inspired to do some Fannart, ao behold my attempt at a Zoro. I came up with the pose and stuff, had to reference the manga alot though to make him accurate. I kind of want to do a model of a One Piece character, I just haven't gotten around to it, oh well. Maybe someday.....someday....XD

Roronoa Zoro is copyright of Eichihiro Oda.

P.S. See if you can name all three of Zoro's Swords, no looking to check the manga now...

I believe they were "this sword", "that sword", and "another sword".

Seriously though, those aren't the kind of things I try to remember. Especially when reading the Japanese version and barely making out what he's saying in the first place. Anyways, that was like... 1000 issues ago or something; get off my back.

I'm not gonna go into the inhuman position of his right arm cuz it was already mentioned numerous times, but he does have 2 bandanas in this pic... Also, his left eye seems exceedingly large.
Otherwise, pretty good detailing and proportions. Well done.

Thanks, I think it's just kind of the way I draw eyes that makes them look so big, oh wells. I'm sure it is hard to remember trivial things like that though, donmai.

This turned out really well. You made a wonderful piece of fanart while making it your own work by "creating" the pose. I can tell you worked very hard on this one.

Woah! Cool!
Kudos!
I always thought OnePiece was pretty cool, but the drawing style kinda creeped me out. I suppose I got used to it though. Kinda grew on me.
Great job, very faveworthy.

Thanks for the fav. I know what you mean, The First time I saw a picture of Luffy I thought he was one of the creepiest looking anime characters I'd ever seen. For some reason though, the style grows on you (for me at least). Thanks alot.

his right arm looks a bit odd (I mean try putting your arm in that position. If it's not impossible or very painful initially just doing the pose, holding a 20+ pound sword in that pose would definately make it so), other than that, it looks pretty neat.

Hmm, point taken. I'll try to avoid akward poses from now on, lol. Thanks.

Oh, there's something toooo weird with the right arm and hand, you drew two left arms!

VashTheStampegg In reply to KnudoW [2006-09-02 03:36:19 +0000 UTC]

he's actually bending his hand backwards, in other words his wrist is facing upwards, but yeah I realize it does look a little akward.
