A study of a maskless Erik, our obedient servant, O.G. Obviously this is my vision of Leroux's description, with long, graying hair -what's left of it-.

I see a lot of Phanart around here that, while trying to get away from ALW (thanx ever so), still tend to make Erik young and sexy. They forget he's around 50 years old! As for the smecksyness, I TRIED so hard for the big fugly, yet still managed to give him an air of menacing, dark allure. He's a sort of Iggy Pop/Mok mix at the moment, but I like where it's going.

Anyway, I'm hoping this is the final design of Erik's look- I've drawn him so many different ways over the years and this is the best I've done. I'll probably try a few more sketches, and if all goes well, I'll do some finished ink pieces with this look.
