Ulkomaalaset aina piirtää saamelaiset blondeiks koska pohjonen. Suomalaiset yleensäki on vähän tummempia kun kuvitellaan, tai ainakin aika moni blondaa hiuksiaan. Omat tummat piirteet on tosin kotoisin Siperiasta, mutta anyway...

My roots go there as well I'm pretty sure this was from Finnish ones but might be also other Scandinavian saamis

yeah I think it's from other's, it didn't look so familiar with nord, skolt or inari saami.

They have different dresses depending which part of Lapland they live.
Before painting this I googled a lot of dresses so I don't remember in where they have this exact dress but I think I have seen many times before.
Guys wear the four wind hat and women have this kind of hat. And they often use this kind of big jewelery attached to their dresses

Googletin noita kansallispukuja, että miten tuo nyt meneekään, mutta en muuten käyttäny. Itse just muutama kuukaus Lapissa opiskelua takana. Ihana paikka. Tänne pitää päästä takaisin! Mutta työharjottelu Israelissa odottaa...

I think you've done a terrific job with this painting. I find it hard to get a good skin tone with watercolours but you did it so beautifully
