Description
Upon reaching the Third Stage of the XM010 Trials the Scimitar underwent a mandatory update to meet the new requirements set about by the Imperial Review Board.

For one the barrel was replaced with a taller profile but pulled back to fit with the weapon's frame. Doing so granted the new rifle a large muzzle break integrated into the weapon itself while the various ventilation designs in the weapon were removed in favor of an Internal Heat Sink designed to divert the excess heat caused by the weapon firing. Thus instead of turning the rifle into a melted hunk of junk the rifle's heat is diverted to the rifle's rail attachment such as the prototype Sonic Launcher currently being displayed on the image.
