I'm still struggling with how to draw my own RDR chars. It's something else to draw an RDR character, but with my OC's I'd like to keep somewhat my own style- so I'm still experimenting. Have to say that Antonio was still the best sheet so far. Anyway! There's only one more character to come after this one, so we're almost done

Name: Roan Matthew Deary

Special Traits: Friendly, tends to get himself in trouble, can't shoot straight, Horse whisperer
Horse: Roter Oktober- Speed: **** Stamina: *** Power: ** (meaning Red October in German; the name was inspired by the Russian Revolution, though at the time of the RP/RDR, it hasn't taken place yet. For once, I don't care though.)
Short Bio: When he turned 20, Roan decided to leave his family's home back in Georgia, to become a horseback Messenger like his father was before he settled with his wife. He was on a job to deliver a letter to someone in Blackwater when he met John.
Roan grew up on a farm with his parents and various farmhands, and since his father made money with breaking, breeding and selling high class horses, he was around the animals since he could walk- one of the older farmhands, who was also a longtime friend of Roans father, also used to tell him that he was 'not only raised, but also made on a horse', which could or couldn't be taken as a joke.
Anyway- since he spend his whole childhood around horses, he turned into a kind of Horsewhisperer. His trusty steed, Roter Oktober(named by a farmhand who had roots in Germany) is neither a broken nor bred horse, instead he's a wild horse and only let's Roan ride him. The two share not only a deep friendship, but Roan also refers to him as his little brother.
Being relatively young and with a handsome face, Johns first reaction to Roan was to ask him how he'd managed to survive on his own as long as he did. Roan, due to having a protected childhood, never learned how to shoot, so he's really bad at aiming and shooting. Still, having the fastest horse between the earth and sun(his own words) and his unbreakable optimism make him a valuable part of the group. He wasn't too keen on becoming an outlaw, but figured he couldn't just leave the others to their fate, and stayed.
Roan is brave, friendly and open-minded, ever optimistic and he always tries to see the good in people. Patrick usually refers to him in a harsh and unfriendly way and most of Roans negative nicknames are courtesy of Patrick. This can easily be explained due to Patricks cynic realism as opposed to Roans optimism.
Roan gets along best with Will, most likely due to them being the closest in age(and the two youngest of the group), though they do not share similar interests or biographies other that living on a farm when they were kids.
