A picture of a close friend of my grandfather he was a real head hunter tribal chief and would only do business with my grandfather. my grampa said he had many "white" trophies on his hut. taken around 1934 by my grandfather. location is in Bora Bora, French Polynesia.If you do use this please put a link back to this page on your deviation page and PLEASE send me a link to your finished item as I'd LOVE to see what you clever folks could do with the image!

not much to tell. this was taken by my grandfather in Tahiti. he used to captain (also owned) a schooner and sailed around the islands ferrying goods and people. so he traded with the local native tribes also. including a couple of headhunter tribes. this was a chieftan he dealt with. somewhere around Bora Bora the picture was taken about 1934. my grampa said he was about the only outsider this chief would trade with. he said he had taken meals with him in his hut and he had many trophies hanging. the cheif told him about a few but grampa never relayed much to me. ohh and yes i do have a few weapons of the islands ha ha
