She knew this was the day she would get her colors as she helped the star out, bringing it inside and letting it sit in her living room.

As Cordelia was freed from her shell, Miko never got her colors, which made her upset but Cordelia wasn't going to let her be sad as she was the one who gave her a home. As the two spent time together, Miko finally received her colors, they symbolized her childish nature, and the fact that she acts incredibly feminine; teaching Cordelia her womanly manners.
