Description I once had this strange dream where black tornadoes were rampant throughout the city, and people ran in desperation for shelter, including myself. After hours of running, ducking and dodging, the sky opened up and clouds began to lighten, and suddenly out of the blue, ships began to appear as if a veil had been lifted from over them. They were in all shapes and sizes, varieties and makes. And as they were unveiled, people scrambled in fear and awe of what was revealed in the sky. And after a period of time when what we would say, "the dust settled" ..I woke on top of this strange floating platform that was interconnected with a variety of buildings and ships.

I was led by a small being to one of the buildings, and even though I did not speak their language, the being communicated with me mentally. And when I was led to the building, and entered, I saw walls filled with ancient books, strange books, that were very large and heavy. There were benches as well and as I asked the being what I was to do, I suddenly just knew, and I reached for a single book. As I opened the book it came to life, and before my eyes in the form of text and holographs, appeared my childhood, scenes of memories flooded the space before me and it was clear, that this was my book, my life.

This image is a depiction of that dream as close as I could get to it. The ships in this rendition are only two types, the rest were much larger and oddly shaped and more towards the cities.

Created in Poser, Vue and Photoshop.

Wow!!! This is epic! I'm glad you had such a prophetic and vivid dream (I'd say it's more like a vision) so that you could share this scene with us. I want to learn more about this -- very intriguing since I had a similar dream about libraries containing the books of our lives. The hair stood on my neck when I read your caption! Mine was not so vivid though, but the core was kind of the same, though mine I was at a beach on the shores of beautiful ocean (the ocean of the universe, perhaps?) I really love what you've created here, and can't wait to see more. You did such an amazing job at putting this epic scene together, and it's an instant all-time favorite for me! More, please!

Thank you very much Ryan! I do want to recreate more of this dream, as it was definitely strange and reoccurring. I've had the dream numerous times, and just recently I saw a few things that got me pretty excited as they were related! The fact that you have had dreams of libraries too, wow, that is so freaking cool. I am working on the next scene which will be the tornadoes although it will be a difficult piece as there was so much to the dream, but I am going to probably make this a series so we'll see where it goes. I also want to somehow recreate the library and the books, that in itself would freaking be awesome, if I can pull it off that is. bwaaaaaa! We need a rap session!

You're most welcome! That sounds so awesome! Can't wait to see what you do with the library and books. Exciting! And I know you can pull it off. Yes, we definitely need a rap session! Way too long overdue!!!

That's great! I'm so happy that you're busy and getting out as well. Definitely keeps the mind occupied, though mine is about to capacity these days. We all need to decompress from time to time, eh?! I welcome this warmer weather but the pollen has been awful. I'm an allergic mess. Love the spring even though I'm allergic to it.

Awww that sucks that you have allergies, I am so glad that I don't have to deal with that, I have enough on my plate! I sure do feel for anyone that is sensitive to pollens though, my dad is as well and I see how he suffers even with just dust. I think his comes from bad memories from when he was a kid though, he was the one that got the job of cleaning the sheeps wool that his step mother purchased, he had to clean it before it was spun, and the process was slapping it with long branches so it would kick out the dirt and particles, he said he had such a hard time breathing and hated that job so much. I can only imagine how that must have been for him. I hope the pollen settles soon so you can have a breath easy!

jrmalone In reply to VeeSwan [2012-03-28 15:02:13 +0000 UTC]

Yes, it sucks indeed -- started getting them when I was around 10 years old, and it got progressively worse except for the years I lived in Florida (one of the pluses of living in perpetual summer). But I just switched to a new allergy med (generic Zyrtec is MUCH cheaper) and it's working much better and keeping it somewhat under control. But hearing about what your dad had to endure with the wool made my nose start sympathy-twitching. LOL That sucks, and I sure feel for him. You're so lucky not to suffer from them. It's pure misery. Unfortunately the rain cleanses it only briefly, then trees seem to go into double production. I love spring time, but the pollen sure puts a damper on things. By the time it dies down it will probably be so freaking hot that we'll be holed up in the house. Hell's Bells! lol Okay, rant over!

I'm glad that you have at least a semi solution for the issue, I think I would be miserable with that kind of allergy, and yes I can see having sympathy twitching for my dad LOL, I do feel for him as well, do you know he never told me that story until recently? He never talks about the abuse his step mother put him through, and he is 80 years old! Imagine how he kept all that shit in for all these years. The only other story he told me was of a time during Christmas when she took away a toy gun from him and cracked him over the head with the butt of it and split his head open an inch, he was only about 5 years old then. She was an ultra bitch.

At any rate, you can rant all you want, I think we are great sounding boards for that you and I, Love and hugs to you brother.

ParaisaDesign In reply to VeeSwan [2012-03-12 17:30:31 +0000 UTC]

Fantastic job at describing your dream in this fashion. I think we've both exchanged conversation about 'tornadoes' in our dreams leading up to the aftermath. So, this is such an eye opener regarding those conversations we've had. Wow.

VeeSwan In reply to Izzie-Kikue [2012-03-12 14:47:42 +0000 UTC]

Thank you very much, I remember the exchange, is is indeed strange, I had this dream again recently. I'm trying to work up a rendition of the tornado scene now but it isn't exactly as the dream as I have to use existing models for it, I really want to learn how to paint in PS, ahhhh so nice it would be for classes!

Such a vivid dream and daaaamn! is this completely awesome or what! This is the kind of image if I ever created anything like it I'd probably retire because I'd figure it's as good as it gets. I'm just completely blown away. It's like I could stare at each at so many different parts of the image and there is an individual story going on. The long shadows that create both a eerie and a cavernous space feel. The color tones simply enhance those feelings. This is absolutely stunning!
