Of course not. It's a parody about the stereotype in general. Plus emo is society-made, so all they're (posers) are doing is taking someone's individual style and making a cult form out of it just because all of them have one thing in commong - they hate their life. Don't half of all teenagers do? Posers just disgust real emos because emos do it out of the fact that they have no help or love from the outside world such as parents, while posers make a trend out of it because they thinks it brings attention to them.

On average, yeah. REAL emos don't whine about how bad life is, they just make it stop. By process of elimination, any emos that talk online about how sad their lives are are not emos. They are emo wannabes. This is even more sad, as they don't actually remove themselves from the internet, they just create more emo wannabes, which create more and more and more until we have to kill them all. And then the act of murder will undoubtedly create more emo wannabes, and it's a vicious cycle.

I concur. The definition I posit is this:
A true emo simply makes statements about life in general and how it relates to them, pointing out that their life is a part of existence, but not the most important part, and possibly not even a notable one.
A emo wannabe, however, makes statements how their life is a perfect reflection of life in general, putting the emo wannabe at the center of attention.

Also sometimes just an average poet with a lot of feelings gets categorized as an emo aswell but the people who do that ignore the real poet, but listen to the fake. Odd isn't it?
