this is my entry for the manila bulletin sketchfest 2016 , themed with "a step to a better philippines."

i decided to tackle the environmental issues that accompany the rapid industrialization and the urban development so often desired in my country, usually without considering the larger implications this holds to the earth. substantial damage has already scarred the land as a result of environmental degradation, and it can only worsen should the philippines fail to address it. and so the first step is to plant, or in filipino, magtanim, for our environment, to plant hope for our future by taking care of our present resources.

update | so it turns out digital artworks won't be accepted for the contest, even though the exhibition category did expressly state it was open to any medium. so there goes that, i guess.
